At arrival, we and our luggage were brought to our room on a golf cart, nice first impression. The best part was the food. I didnt get enough of it. Kitchen chefs were at times quite creative. Also the staff in the restaurant was excellent, bravo! They were so swift with cleaning up the tables. Staff in the whole complex was generally friendly. The pools and aqua park were ok. There is a pool that creates waves 5 times a day, my kids favorite. My kid could also enjoy playing soccer everyday at 10h30. Special swimsuits for women who like to be covered are allowed; good decision, keep it that way. In short, recommended for the one who wants to relax and get some peace of mind.
Minuses:
Rooms are relatively small, but acceptable seen that we didnt really spend much time in there. One downside of the buffet is the lack of (free) fresh juices; only thing to drink was mineral water and same concentrate-based lemonade, because orange juice cost 20 dh per glass. Also for a family of 4 heads, it would be obvious to get 2 access cards for our room, but we only got one, and had to pay 20 dh for the second one. Another disappointment was the pool towels; they were clearly not washed but only dried in the sun; they had stains and a musty smell; and I wasnt allowed to have them changed only after 2 days. No free wifi in reception hall nor in rooms, only at pool side. Wifi in room costs 50 dh per day, ridiculous. Safety box isnt free either, 20 dh per day. I hope these things can be changed gradually.

Hôtel La Renaissance Marrakech
C’est dans le quartier de Guéliz que se trouve l’hôtel Renaissance, véritable institution marrakchi. Classé aux monuments historiques, cet hôtel 5 étoiles a conservé sa façade de 1952. À l’intérieur, le style très contemporain est élégamment revisité de subtiles touches orientales. Cette double identité se décline jusque dans les 35 chambres et 10 suites. Design agrémenté d’une subtile touche orientale pour certaines, entièrement décorées dans le respect de la tradition marocaine pour d’autres, toutes se présentent comme de véritables cocons de sérénité. 3 suites cependant offrent une toute autre décoration. Spacieuses et de formes arrondies, les suites seventies sont dotées d’un mobilier des années 70. Dans cet hôtel design, le spa se parfume à la fleur d’oranger et la piscine s’habille d’émaux noirs. Lieu de rencontre intemporel, la brasserie française propose une cuisine franco-marocaine à base de produits du terroir. The Renaissance hotel in the Gueliz quarter is a Marrakech institution. Classified an historic monument, this 5 star hotel has preserved its 1952 façade. Inside the building, the very contemporary style has been elegantly altered by subtle oriental touches. This dual identity can be seen in the hotel’s 35 rooms and 10 suites: design with subtle oriental touches for some, and others entirely decorated with respect for the traditional Moroccan style. All of the accommodations however, are veritable cocoons of serenity. 3 of the suites differ in that they are round and contain 1970s style furniture, hence their name of the “seventies suites.” In this design hotel, the spa is perfumed with orange blossom, and the swimming pool is decorated with black enamel. The timeless French brasserie, a popular meeting place, serves French-Moroccan cuisine using locally grown products. For a more intimate dinner, the restaurant on the 6th floor offers guests a table next to the swimming pool. The Sky, the highest bar in Marrakech, proposes a superb aerial view of the “red city.”
