Leamington, Ontario: Downtown Driving Tour (June, 2019)
The town that got shafted by Heinz. We recorded this driving tour in June, 2019 through the downtown core of Leamington, Ontario, ending up in the parking lot for the Pelee Islander car ferry.
We do pass right by the former Heinz processing plant, which is now under new ownership. As for the Pelee Islander, the ferry transports cars from Leamington to nearby Pelee Island.
The 'Tomato Capital of Canada' is part of a greater municipality with a population of 30,000. Originally dubbed Gainesville, the town was incorporated in 1876.
The location is just 51 kilometres southeast of Windsor, Ontario. A driving tour video of that city's downtown can be seen here:

First laid out in 1831 as informal riverside walks in Leamington, the original Newbold Gardens were developed as more formal pleasure grounds after 1846 in honour of Dr Henry Jephson, who had promoted the town as a spa.
The Jephson Gardens gained renown for their entertainments, military bands, promenading, croquet and tennis, fountains, illuminations, trees and flowers. They are listed as Grade II on the English Heritage register of historic parks and gardens.
England, birthplace of Shakespeare and The Beatles, is a country in the British Isles bordering Scotland and Wales. The capital, London, on the River Thames, is home of Parliament, Big Ben and the 11th-century Tower of London. It's also a multicultural, modern hub for the arts and business. Hey, so we took a trip down to Jump In, in Leamington Spa. The indoor arena has different zones such as 3D Dodgeball, Kid Zone, Foam Pits, tumble tracks and a huge main court where people can jump freely between trampolines and literally bounce off the walls! It really was so much fun and is so worth going, so if you are suddenly filled with boredom, you should head down ;)

Unlike traditional field tomatoes, yields from these regulated greenhouses can be 10 to 20 times greater per square foot. Baby tomato plants are suspended and left to mature for eight to ten weeks before being harvested and exported across Canada and Asia.
