Chelsea House & Cawsand Place, Wentworth UK
Properties of this calibre are rare indeed; but to find one with
this scope & in this setting is a once in a lifetime opportunity;
the Wentworth Estate extends to around 1750 acres and dates
back to the early 1920’s. WG Tarrant, the developer, had a
dream of substantial mansion houses set in beautiful mature
gardens surrounding a golf course; so Wentworth was born.
The 3 Championship golf courses at Wentworth all have
exceptional tournament pedigrees. At the heart of the estate
is the Wentworth Club, with a swimming pool, tennis
courts, restaurants, and a health and leisure club. Recently
purchased by Beijing based, Reignwood, great plans are
afoot to reposition Wentworth as the finest golf course in the
UK and in the top 10, globally.
Set in the heart of the Wentworth estate, with direct access
to, arguably, the finest & most sought after golf course in
Britain, Cawsand Place & Chelsea House are situated on
the West Course, conveniently located for the local towns
of Sunningdale & Virginia Water, which cater for day to
day shopping requirements while the larger metropoles of
Windsor and Ascot are well known for their more extensive
shopping with exclusive boutiques and restaurants.
Communications in the area are excellent with a fast train
service running from Sunningdale to London Waterloo,
along with a service from Windsor to London Paddington.
Both the M3 & M4 are within close proximity, giving
straightforward access to London, as well as Heathrow &
Gatwick airports, via the M25. Fairoaks & Farnborough
private airports are 6 miles & 8 miles away, respectively.
The area affords some of the finest schooling in the world,
with Eton College nearby, as well as Heathfield School,
Sunningdale, St George’s and St Mary’s Ascot, Papplewick,
amongst others and The American School in Surrey and
American Community School, Egham, as well as The Royal
Holloway University. Additionally, the area is renowned
for its racing, at Royal Ascot, Windsor, Kempton, Sandown
and Epsom. Polo is at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo
Club, Smiths Lawn & the Guards Polo Club, with golf at
Sunningdale, Royal Berkshire and, of course, Wentworth.

Places to see in ( Cobham - UK )
Places to see in ( Cobham - UK )
Cobham is a village in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England, centred 17 miles south-west of London and 10 miles northeast of Guildford on the River Mole. It has a commercial/services High Street, a significant number of primary and private schools and the Painshill landscape park.
Cobham is an ancient settlement whose origins can be traced back on the ground through Roman times to the Iron Age. It lay within the Elmbridge hundred. Cobham appears in Domesday Book as Covenham and was held by Chertsey Abbey. Historically, Cobham other than outlying farms comprised two developed areas, Street Cobham and Church Cobham. The former lay on the Portsmouth-London Road, and the building now known as the Cobham Exchange was once a coaching inn. The latter grew up around St. Andrew's Church, which dates from the 12th century.
Cobham fits into a triangle between the River Mole to the south, the A3 to the north and a borderline for the most part on the nearside of the (New) London to Guildford railway line to the southeast – directly west of Oxshott. On the southern border is the historic village, Stoke D'Abernon, part of the small post town, which gives its name to the railway station between the two areas on the line mentioned: Cobham and Stoke D'Abernon.
At the heart of Cobham is the Church Cobham Conservation Area, which was designated in 1973 and includes fourteen statutory listed buildings. Amongst these are Pyports, once the home of Vernon Lushington; the picturesque Church Stile House; and two fine houses overlooking the River Mole: Ham Manor and Cedar House, the latter owned by the National Trust.
Across the river from the church into Downside village, the estate of Cobham Park was the home of John Ligonier, 1st Earl Ligonier, who was made Commander-in-Chief of the army in 1757. In 1806 Cobham Park was bought by Harvey Christian Combe a brewer and Lord Mayor of London. The present house was completed in 1873 by his nephew, Charles Combe, to a design by Edward Middleton Barry: it has now been divided into apartments. At the other end of the village, beside the A3, Painshill Park is a fine 18th-century landscape garden, restored from dereliction since 1980. Painshill House dates from the 18th century and has also been divided into apartments.
Two other large houses on the outskirts of Cobham have been taken over by schools: Heywood is now the American Community School, and Burwood House is now Notre Dame School. Chelsea F.C.'s training ground is nearby, close to Cobham and Stoke d'Abernon railway station and some of its more deluxe private homes belong to Chelsea's players. The Fairmile or eastern part of the parish has a high proportions of mansions and gated roads.
The River Mole provides a setting for Cobham's best-known landmark which is the red brick water mill, constructed Late 18C and once part of a much larger complex. Thereafter, the Cobham Mill Preservation Trust was formed as a sister organisation to the Cobham Conservation Group and took over the leasehold. The building was restored to full working order by the volunteers of the Cobham Mill Preservation Trust, and first opened to the public in 1993. Cobham Mill is now open to the public from 2 pm to 5 pm on the second Sunday of each month between April and October, inclusive.
To the north and west of the town is the A3 trunk road, a major arterial route from London to Portsmouth. This road links to the M25 motorway at Junction 10, immediately to the southwest of Cobham. The A307, Portsmouth Road starts in Cobham and runs northwards to the adjoining town of Esher. This is also known as the old A3. The A245 runs through the centre of the town and leads to Leatherhead in the south-east and Byfleet to the west. Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon railway station, opened in 1885, is on the New Guildford Line from London Waterloo.
( Cobham - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Cobham . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Cobham - UK

Garden Room Workshop: Part 11. EPDM & Fascias
Part 11 of a video series about how to self-build a timber-framed garden room office (aka tiny house)/wood workshop in the UK.
This video covers the EPDM rubber roof and UPVC fascias.
The purpose of this video series is to provide all the information required for viewers to build their own garden room rather than just a montage of the building work. It took me months of research to learn everything in these videos so I hope to save people time and money.
The videos are a mix of theory and footage of the build including all the mistakes I made along the way. I am not a builder or tradesman, just a keen DIY-er with some basic tools. Everyone can do this!
In the longer term, I hope to turn this channel into a community for garden room self-builders and to eventually evolve into a woodworking projects channel - the real purpose of my garden room!
Garden room ideas: workshop, office, games room, cinema room, art studio, music studio, yoga retreat, spare bedroom, annexe or run a home business such as yoga classes or hair salon.

PM Visits Flood-Hit Areas Ahead Of More Rain
Businesses have told Sky News they fear David Cameron's £10m fund to help them recover from devastating floods will be too little too late.
The Prime Minister confirmed some of the details of the package aimed at helping flood-hit traders to clean up and stay in business as he met volunteers, residents and troops in the west of England.
Speaking in Worcestershire, he said: We've announced that we're going to have a grant system of up to £5,000 for businesses that have been flooded so they can help to better protect themselves in future but we also need this £10m fund, which will be distributed to local authorities so they can help businesses that have been directly or indirectly hit by the floods.
But some businesses have raised concerns that the emergency funding will not reach them in time.
David Cameron toured the banks of the Severn with local MP Harriet Baldwin
Boatyard owner Michael Dennett has lost vital equipment including a forklift truck, circular saw and planing machine to flooding after the Thames burst its banks.
Even the electric gates are broken at his business in Chertsey, Surrey, which has been underwater for around a month.
He told Sky's Clare Fallon he was sceptical about the Prime Minister's pledge.
He said: It sounds good but it will be too little, too late by the time the Government decides who qualifies and how much.
It will be months down the line, which is no good for now. Most of our heavy machinery is out of commission and the place is wrecked - we need immediate help.
A damaged boat lies against a weir in the River Thames at Runnymede
In Burrowbridge, Somerset, Gillard Transport say they are losing £2,000-3,000 a week because of diversions their lorries must take to avoid flooding.
The company's manager Roger Hutchings told Sky's Isabel Webster: We've been in this business 40 years and I don't take much truck on a politician's pledge.
If he just passes that money over to the local council, we won't see any of it.
The Prime Minister visited Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, where the army was deployed after the town was cut in two by floodwaters, and defended the Government's handling of the recent crisis.
Soldiers wade through flood water on Chertsey Meads
He said: I'll try to get to every part of the country that's been affected so that we can learn all the lessons.
But here in Worcestershire we can recognise that the flood investment that went in after 2007 has made a real difference, with hundreds of properties protected.
Sky's David Crabtree in Upton-upon-Severn, said Mr Cameron was well-received by local people as he toured the swollen banks of the Severn.
He held a private meeting with members of the community and members of the Environment Agency and 1st Battalion Royal Irish here as well, there's about 100 of them in this region, ready to help out in a supporting role, Crabtree said.
Under the £10m Business Support Scheme, small and medium sized businesses will be able to access funds to cover clean-up costs in the wake of the winter storms.
Floood water surrounds houses near Walton on Thames
A helpline is also being set up to provide advice, and those who are late filing accounts because of the flooding will not incur penalties.
Mr Cameron also chaired another meeting of the Government's Cobra emergency committee on Sunday night as the huge clean-up operation got under way following some of the worst flooding in decades.
Swathes of the UK remain on high alert as people battle to protect their homes and communities from the floodwaters, which are still expected to rise in places despite a respite from the storms.
Sporadic rain is expected in the coming days, bringing fears of the possibility of water levels rising once again, but forecasters are predicted a largely drier week ahead.
The Environment Agency (EA) has 16 severe flood warnings in place for the South West and the Thames Valley, with nearly 130 flood warnings and more than 180 flood alerts.
Firemen adjust a pump in Staines-upon-Thames
Meanwhile, police have been called to a huge sinkhole, which opened up in the garden of a home in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire.
Four homes, a house and three flats, were evacuated in the street after the 20ft deep hole appeared. Structural engineers and the fire service were assessing the situation.
Another large sinkhole, in nearby Hemel Hempstead, opened up last week.
Earlier, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond admitted the military could have been brought in earlier to help deal with the winter storms that have wracked the country and claimed a number of lives.
