Blackpool's most popular production show, three times award-winning including Radio Wave's Culture and Lifestyle Award 2012 - Trevor Chance's LEGENDS, the star-studded tribute to musical icons past and present, returns for it's 15th successful year, having made a fresh and exciting move to a new venue, the plush surroundings of The Sands, on the promenade opposite the Comedy Carpet.
Kicking proceedings off with an Easter Special, LEGENDS will play host to a feast of musical royalty - Queen's Freddie Mercury, the King, Elvis Presley, Sir Elton John and Robbie Williams, undoubtedly the mischievous prince of British pop. The show begins on March 29th and will run for three days (buy tickets now before they run out - press night is the last night so very limited availability) before the cast and crew take a short break to rehearse, produce and unveil their flagship summer shows (details below). JIMMY ARMFIELD made one final visit to his beloved Bloomfield Road as he was laid to rest today.
Former England captain Armfield, who made a club-record 627 appearances for Blackpool, died after losing a battle against cancer at the age of 82 on January 22.
And in a fitting tribute to one of football's most popular figures, Armfield's funeral cortege passed through the club's stadium, allowing fans to pay tribute to the club legend from the stand bearing his name.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a wax museum located in Blackpool, United Kingdom. The attraction opened in 2011, replacing the previous Louis Tussauds waxworks. It features over 80 wax figures of famous celebrities, film and television characters, athletes and musicians.
The process of making a wax figure can take anywhere from four to six months. After a survey has been conducted on who the attraction should include, researchers find out as much information as possible about the chosen celebrities including their hairstyle, common facial expressions, and clothing preferences. If they are able, celebrities visit the Madame Tussauds stylists who take more than 150 measurements and 200 photos, and use an oil-based paint to create a realistic skin complexion. The figure is not made entirely of wax, but also uses clay and steel.

Blackpool had been due to pay respects before their game against Charlton and despite the game being postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, the laying of wreaths and tributes went ahead as planned both outside and subsequently inside the ground for the late England captain Jimmy Armfield, who sadly died of cancer aged 82, just 5 days earlier.
Jimmy Armfield is widely regarded as the first overlapping full-back. The pioneering right-back used to get forward at every opportunity in an era where players in his position rarely ventured beyond the half-way line.
He joined his local side Blackpool Football Club as a teenager in 1954, where he played behind the great Stanley Matthews. Matthews' aura gave the youngster an opportunity to attack as teams often put two markers on the veteran.
Armfield’s dynamic style quickly won everyone connected with Blackpool FC over and in 1957 a bid was rejected from Manchester United. He would remain at Blackpool throughout his playing career and would eventually make a club record 627 appearances for Blackpool over 17 years of loyal service including 13 of those years as club captain.
He made his International debut on 13 May 1959, against Brazil in front of over 120,000 fans at the Maracanã Stadium and went on to win 42 full England caps, including 15 as captain.
He played in the 1962 World Cup in Chile, where he was acclaimed as the best right-back in the world.
He was also voted best right-back in Europe between 1962 and 1964.
Armfield was voted Young Player of the Year in 1959. In 1966, he narrowly lost out to Bobby Charlton for the Footballer of the Year award and had to content himself with being Blackpool's Player of the Year.
Shortly after his playing career, Armfield became manager of Bolton Wanderers in 1971, leading them to promotion to the Second Division in the 1972–73 season as Third Division Champions.
In October 1974, Armfield took the helm at Leeds United, replacing Brian Clough as manager, leading them to the European Cup Final in the 1974–75 season in which they lost 2–0 to Bayern Munich.
Assisted by Don Howe, Armfield was responsible for rebuilding Don Revie's aging but still formidable side, a task which he achieved with some success.
Armfield bought in players such as Tony Currie and Brian Flynn, and under his stewardship, Leeds never finished outside of the top ten, qualified for the UEFA Cup, and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1976–77 and the League Cup in 1977–78.
He trained as a journalist after his playing and management career and worked with the Daily Express from 1979 to 1991.
He then went on to work for the BBC as a radio commentator until shortly before he died.
What a fabulous career from one of the greatest players of his generation and a one-club family man who was loved and respected by so many throughout football and beyond.
