Save Leiston Library March
On March 5th 2011, hundreds of local Leiston residents marched to demonstrate their anger and dismay at the potential loss of their library at the hands of Suffolk County Council.
Stradbroke Media attended to support another Save Our Library group, and to record the event for the organisers.
Visit to Bungay
In the south-eastern corner of Suffolk, on the edge of the Broads,lies the small market town of Bungay. With 5000 people living there, the origins of the town are Anglo-Saxon, although Roman artefacts have been found in the area too. The town also boasts a Norman castle.
Bungay has a spooky tale associated with it too, that of Black Shuck which is a black Hell Hound that haunts the coasts of Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk, so if you're visiting keep your eyes peeled for it. Bungay have incorporated both the castle and black shuck into the town's coat of arms.

Leiston Abbey is a marvellous old ruin of an abbey up in Suffolk - a few miles from the sprawling metropolis of Saxmundham, on the way to Thorpeness or Sizwell depending on which direction on the coast road you take. (Apologies for the wind noise on this - it was windy! :) )

The feature from which this clip is taken shows Garrett engines in 2001, when they visited the Long Shop Museum in Leiston. The museum is located within the town in an area that once formed part of the Richard Garrett & Sons factory complex.
