Highway 321 Lenoir, NC to Boone, NC

Took a trip to North Carolina over the weekend. This is from Lenoir, NC to Boone, NC. The road is U.S. Highway 321 North. Traffic is pretty heavy between Lenoir and Boone. Especially with several events that was taking place in both towns.

Boone, NC is home of Appalachian State University. Along with the college Boone has several tourist attractions like Tweetsie Railroad along with many stores and restaurants. One of the best restaurants in Boone is the Daniel Boone Inn. Family style dining and mouth watering food. If you have never been I would suggest that you try the Daniel Boone Inn. They are located just a couple blocks from ASU. Also the scenery is breath taking when going across the mountain.

Little BeeHaven Bee Supplies - Lenoir, NC

We discovered a great new bee supply shop between Cajah Mountain and Lenoir, NC on Connelly Springs Road - Little BeeHaven. This saves beekeepers in the Catawba Valley a lot of time, since typically you have to go up to the awesome Brushy Mountain Bee Farm to get supplies. I conduct a brief interview with owner, Linda Moretz, who started the business in late 2015. If you are a beekeeper in Valdese, Morganton, Lenoir, Hickory or other Catawba Valley location, stop by for a visit with Linda at the shop! carolina thread trail

We decided to take a bike ride down the Carolina Thread Trail in lincoln county. We tried to go down to all the historical dams/mills. Only two were open on the trail but we had a fun time getting some exercise and just enjoying the adventure.

Google on the move Lenoir, N.C. USA

Google is on the move new water line to supply their needs. Only 20 feet from my backdoor. Future planning is on the way. Soon new building and units are on the way. Hope they will buy my home when that time come. Also, the rumor that part of Virginia street will be close in the future. We will keep you updated.

Lombard St. section of the Zack's Fork Trail

This video shows the 9 berm Lombard St. section of the Zack's Fork Trail. The Zack's Fork Trail is the first purpose built mountain bike trail in Caldwell County and is located in the city limits of Lenoir, NC. The trail is accessible from the Lenoir Greenway and has two large parking lots at the trail head located on Zack's Fork Rd. at the Lenoir Rotary Soccer Complex.
