Lenzie is a small town by the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway in the East Dunbartonshire council area of Scotland. It is about 6 miles north-east of Glasgow city centre and 1 mile south of Kirkintilloch. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 8,873. Sledging at the Alma
We spent most of today sledging on this hill. It's part of the local golf course and is a legendary sledging mecca. This is it actually fairly quiet. It can get so busy that it's almost impossible to sledge. Certainly, the people who choose to walk back up to the top via the middle of the slope don't help.
Gail took Grace along for a while early this afternoon and witnessed 3 idiots sliding down - at speed - on an inflatable mattress. They collided with a 2 year old infant near the bottom of the hill. Apparently the child's father was fairly restrained with the people on the mattress. I know I wouldn't have been...
All in all it was a fun day. However, judging by the pain I'm in already, tomorrow is going to be unpleasant....
