Let's Go on an Adventure

Going out for a days diving to a site called the Looking Glass with Let's Go Adventures. Looking Glass is located at Broughton Island about 20 kilometers north from Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, NSW, Australia. This was filmed on a Go Pro and an LG Nexus mobile phone. Filmed and edited by Jim Dodd.

We spent three fantastic days diving with some local friends of ours in Nelson Bay. Malcolm Nobbs and Mick Todd, manager of Lets Go Adventures - Dive Nelson Bay, gave us a whirlwind tour of the great diving available in this part of New South Wales. Awesome muck diving, as well as sharks and nice reefs are at their disposal, either by boat or right from the shore. Thanks again to Malcolm, Mary and Mick for their hospitality and for showing us around.

Sharks at Nelson Bay with Lets Go Scuba Diving

My mate and I drove up from Sydney on an early Saturday morning to see Sharks at Broughton Island, Nelson Bay with the Lets Go Dive shop. The shop/team itself was a 5/5 for me that being said the only problem for me was getting sea sick on the hour long boat trip.

Diving Fly Point Nelson Bay

Scuba Diving North Rock, Nelson Bay with GoPro Black Hero 3+

Highlights of diving in less than ideal conditions at both North Rock & and The Aquarium about 35-40min out of Nelson Bay.

Despite poor visibility of around 10mtrs, both dives were still incredible. North Rock with rays and 20+ grey nurse sharks, not to mention an abundance of tropical fish. Looking Glass is equally as good, though not as many sharks, the terrain of step walls with overhangs and large schools of Big Eye fish to swim in with.

These sites should definitely be on your Gotta Dive Here list. Make sure you check out Feet First Dive Centre as these guys really know their stuff. Friendly efficient service with good quality hire gear and a please to dive with.

Looking forward to doing this again in better conditions

Second dive was Cabbage Tree Island which was calm and easy.
