How Loud Is It in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) - Let me know what you think! (Community)
I wanted to know how loud it is here. I Vlog mostly in my neighborhood and am always trying to find a better way to record good audio. The background noise in Saigon is constant, and I wanted to see how it looks on a Decibal Meter app.

I've lived over 18 years in Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. I'd like to share my experiences with you. My videos might help you have a better experience, anticipate what to expect or encourage you to get out of that Lazyboy and head this way.
My videos are snippets of life, but I also am happy to discuss SE Asia with you by email.

All or most of the video is shot within 5km of my house in the Tân Phú district of Saigon.
The videos are representative of everyday life and challenges in the city for retired expats. My goal is to help those looking for another life to see what it's like in this wonderful SE Asian country. My hope is that you will visit Vietnam and just maybe you will enjoy it as much as I do. Some of the videos are just for fun, some are about the differences in the cultures.
I will also be adding some videos about my time in other SE Asian countries.
I hope you SUBSCRIBE to my channel and enjoy the video efforts of the Texpat in Saigon.

I apologize for the slow upload, ya'll. As you can see from my previous videos, I ventured off to try new avenues of YouTube videos. But, now I'm back because I have too much video content from my 6 month trip to Vietnam, and I feel that it is my responsibility to showcase my motherland for it's beauty. In addition, I want to share my amazing journey with all of you...so I am going to try my best to continue where I had left off :)
Xin chao may bạn, Tariq xin lỗi vì sự chậm trễ của video việt nam của tôi. Nhưng, tôi trở lại để tải chúng lên bây giờ. Luôn cập nhật với tôi nhe.
The tunnels of Củ Chi are vast system underground tunnels which are located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. It is about 40km from Saigon, and underlie much of the country. This historical area housed several military campaigns during the Vietnam War. In addition, this network of tunnels were the Viet Cong's main base of for the famous 'Tết Offensive' which occurred in the year 1968. This amazing tour was given by a real Saigonese citizen who fought during this war. So, you will see a much different perspective from his eyes...
By visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, it helped me understand much about the history of how the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong succeeded in the Vietnam War. With their bare hand, these people dug 70 mile long tunnels, hid, and inhabited there during this dark period of the country. Despite the casualties and violence of the whole ordeal, this battle will forever be remembered in history.

This is a trip to HCMC Vietnam in January 2018 with my friends! Booked airport shuttle to our hotel, Lele Hotel. We spent 4D3N there and we spent most of our money on food and shopping! Thankfully there's a Malaysian Street in HCMC which makes halal food easily accessible. We did most of our shopping at the infamous Ben Thanh market and the night market outside it! Definitely all our luggage were full when we went back to SG but it was definitely a good time spent with friends!
A Day in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh - Vietnam Travel Vlog
So with Nic safely landed and some what rested, it was time to take her around Saigon. The morning did not start as planned though, I had to make a last minute visit back to Saigon Storage and so the girls began the day without me, leaving me to catch up later.
Once I found them though, we headed off to introduce Nic to Cong Ca Phe, then tried to show her Notre Dame Cathedral, before heading into the Independence Palace.
A big thanks to unowho travel channel for let me use their curse of the scaffold footage, be sure to check out there channel at the link below and see what adventures they have been hit by the curse on, haha.
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between.
So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..
Ride with me thru Crazy Saigon Traffic ????Motorbikes Today in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Travel 2017
Riding motorbikes in Saigon! I just love it. That feeling of being in a hot fumigated sea of motorbikes cruising like a school of fish thru the concrete jungle. So exotic, so interesting. All the colors, all the sounds, all the people. You see something new every minute:)
We cruise around the streets just showing a small peek of what it's like. Starting in District 1 and ride over the bridge near Bitexco Tower over to District 4 near our hotel / Airbnb. Crazy views from above as well. Quite the colorful urban neighborhood. Enjoy;)

HELP ME GET TO 1000 SUBSCRIBERS!
Hi everyone, last week we went to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam ????????for 4D3N. This is my first South East Asia holiday ever, so it was nice to have a different view this time around and I have my best friend, Hany in this episode!
We took Air Asia flight (a low budget airline, works quite the same like EasyJet or Ryanair) on the 12th August and as we arrived at the airport, we took a public bus no.152 to the city centre (it will be the big bus station near Ben Tanh Market). The cost for each person was 5000 dong but please make sure to have small notes as the bus driver sometimes won't be able to provide you with small change. They can also sometimes charge you extra for the luggage you have (depending on the size of the luggage), still a lot cheaper than getting a cab from the airport anyway.
On average, you will spend around 10 USD a day for transportation, food etc but if you would like to do a bit of shopping, spare a little bit more. Word of advice, only bargain at your best when you definitely want to buy the items or else you will pissed off the seller. I prefer to have Dong than USD because with that I'll get my way around the cost a lot better. If you want to eat everyday in a proper restaurant, it will costs you around 100,000 dong more or less for a meal but there are a lot of small stalls by the street which costs you only around 35000 to 50000 dong, except beware for any rats! I spent only around £40 for the whole trip!
Did you know that there are 11 million people in Ho Chi Minh City and 7 million motorbikes on the road? From what I can see, they uses the motorbikes as their public transport since there are no tubes or other alternatives, which definitely defines the city in overall. That makes the city unique to my eyes (never seen so much motorbikes on the road!)
We stayed around Pham Ngu Lao which is probably the busiest street at night with pubs and bars. We didn't have time to visit Mekong Delta and the floating market, which is quite the bummer but we managed to walk through the whole city by foot, paid a visit to Cai Dao Temple and Chu Chi Tunnels. If you ever wanting to visit Ho Chi Minh, I would highly recommend for you to go for 5 days instead of 4 but if you want to visit other places in Vietnam such as Hanoi etc, spare another 3 or 4 days.
