Liberty Hall 360: Revolutionary Wedding | Feature Film
Liberty Hall 360: Revolutionary Wedding is a student-produced film in two formats: ultra-widescreen digital HD and immersive 360° Virtual Reality.
► Watch in 360° Virtual Reality:
Witness a project 244 years in the making. Conceived and produced by Kean University students, with support of faculty, staff, alumni, and neighbors.
The film invites audiences to attend the wedding of future Founding Father John Jay to socialite Sarah Livingston, the daughter of the first governor of New Jersey. A colorful cast of characters leads the audience on an adventure around the mansion and grounds, as they experience the story through the eyes of Lucious Horatio, a rambunctious young guest at the wedding,
Two versions of this film were created to give audience and museum-goers the exciting experience of feeling like they were actually there on this historic occasion.
This version was filmed with wide angle lenses and in first-person perspective to put the audience in Lucious' shoes. And the 360° virtual reality version takes that experience to the next level. Using VR headsets, audiences are transported into a fully immersive environment - with the sights and sounds of the day all around them. It is not just a movie - it's a time machine.
Liberty Hall 360: Revolutionary Wedding was created through the collaboration of students, faculty, staff and alumni of Kean University across multiple disciplines like graphic design, history, communication, writing and theatre.
Liberty Hall 360: Revolutionary Wedding represents the past, present and future of Kean University.

Governor Christie Talks Recovery with Opening of State-Wide FEMA Centers
Flood Recovery Efforts Update Press Conference - Joint Field Office Neptune - September 6, 2011. (Transcript Below)
Governor Christie: The President's approved New Jersey's request for disaster assistance in all 21 counties.
As a result, New Jersey residents and small businesses in all 21 counties now are eligible to apply for different types of federal assistance, including temporary housing, repair, replacement, or other needs such as disaster unemployment assistance and Small Business Administration disaster loans.
It's really easy. You register by phone, 1-800-621-FEMA, 800-621-FEMA, or you can register online at disasterassistance.gov. You can apply through your mobile devices, your smartphones, by going to m.fema.gov.
FEMA has already distributed a little bit over $3 million to folks on the ground in New Jersey and so this Joint Field Office will be fully operational tomorrow and will be the command center for both FEMA and for the state OEM in the post-hurricane response.
In the coming days recovery efforts will also include the opening of county-specific disaster recovery centers to directly assist with the delivery of recovery and relief efforts to New Jerseyans. We encourage you to go to your own county disaster center once it's opened. There'll be one in every county. We're in the process of getting all of them up and running.
It's also important to note you don't have to go to a center in your own county. If there's not one up and running and you want to go to another one you can go to another one. We've already opened a center in Passaic at the Paterson Museum on Market Street. We expect to have up and running centers in Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Union this week, and by the end of next week the majority of centers will be opened and staffed.
Kean Lift | Crowdfunding the Liberty Hall 360 VR Experience
Through the use of 360-degree video, Liberty Hall 360 aims to reenact the marriage of John Jay and Sarah Livingston, which happened at Liberty Hall (here at Kean's Union Campus) on April 28, 1774.
The goal is to raise $5,000 to purchase a cutting edge 360-degree HD video camera, the GoPro Omni. This will enable us to create an engaging experience for the viewer and a more realistic and immersive look into this time period. We will be able to capture the student audience with a combination of historical authenticity and modern technology.
This Research Project creates opportunities for future students of the Michael Graves College. With this technology as a resource students can further explore the possibilities of Virtual Reality at Liberty Hall and across campus.

Cayuga County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 80,026.[1] Its county seat is Auburn.[2] The county was named for one of the tribes of Indians in the Iroquois Confederation.
Cayuga County comprises the Auburn, NY Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Syracuse-Auburn, NY Combined Statistical Area.
When counties were established in the Province of New York in 1683, the present Cayuga County was part of Albany County. This was an enormous county, including the northern part of the present state of New York and all of the present state of Vermont and, in theory, extending westward to the Pacific Ocean. This county was reduced in size on July 3, 1766 by the creation of Cumberland County, and further on March 16, 1770, by the creation of Gloucester County, both containing territory now in Vermont.

Nearly 28 million people visited the Fair. Dubbed the “White City,” it inspired future innovators like Henry Ford and Frank Lloyd Wright, unveiled the Ferris Wheel and Cracker Jack®, and, in many ways, marked the beginning of the 20th century. Many of the era’s greatest achievements in science, technology and culture were unveiled there. The grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famous for his design of New York City’s Central Park, and constructed under the supervision of Daniel Burnham.
The Fair was an engineering marvel. On opening day, President Grover Cleveland depressed a golden telegraph key which sent the first courses of electricity throughout the Fair powering fountains, machines, electric railways and thousands of lights. It was the first use of electricity on such a massive scale.
In addition, fairgoers enjoyed the Midway Plaisance where a one-mile boulevard of fun offered camel riding and guilty pleasures such as belly dancing, street fighting and beer drinking.
