Library of Water: Roni Horn reading
Roni Horn’s long-term project Vatnasafn / Library of Water opened in a former library building in the town of Stykkishólmer on the west coast of Iceland in 2007.
The Library of Water houses water collected from 24 glaciers across Iceland, each sample contained in an identical glass column.
The building also has a display of ‘To Place’, Roni Horn’s series of books based on Iceland, and ‘Weather Reports You’, a publication featuring people from the Snaefellsnes peninsula talking about the weather.
In May 2017, to mark the 10th anniversary of Library of Water, Roni Horn read from ‘Weather Reports You’ and from two pieces of her own writing about Iceland.
