Innocence Blues
No comprendo..

An Illustrious equestrian circus family from the deepest reaches
of Eastern Siberia have come to the welcoming arms of Europe
to join us.
Even If the mishaps of the trip weren’t already enough, the family
has arrived safe and sound to share with us all their strange customs,
their acrobatic acts and their totally weird animals.
A strange “otherness” that reminds us all of the need to recognise
and embrace the differences in others.

Synopsis: Thirteen year old Caroline and her family just moved halfway across the country. Her old life was easy - at her old school she was popular, but now, all this fitting in stuff seems weird. Mom tells her to join clubs. But it's not that easy... Dodgeball team - Ouch! Debate team - Yikes! How about the ABC's (the Anti-Bullying Committee) - not a chance. A group of desperate losers want her to be in their rap video. Sounds like fun, but does she dare? And when getting too friendly with the chess club nerd threatens her chances with the popular girls it seems she might not fit anywhere. Is she brave enough to stand on her own and be herself? Caroline's been told a million times be yourself. But how do you do that if you don't know who yourself is yet?

What does the Quran really say about a Muslim woman's hijab? | Samina Ali | TEDxUniversityofNevada
In recent times, the resurgence of the hijab along with various countries’ enforcement of it has led many to believe that Muslim women are required by their faith to wear the hijab. In this informative talk, novelist Samina Ali takes us on a journey back to Prophet Muhammad's time to reveal what the term “hijab” really means -- and it's not the Muslim woman's veil! So what does “hijab” actually mean, if not the veil, and how have fundamentalists conflated the term to deny women their rights? This surprising and unprecedented idea will not only challenge your assumptions about hijab but will change the way you see Muslim women.
Samina Ali is an award-winning author, activist and cultural commentator. Her debut novel, Madras on Rainy Days, won France’s prestigious Prix Premier Roman Etranger Award and was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award in Fiction. Ali’s work is driven by her belief in personal narrative as a force for achieving women’s individual and political freedom and in harnessing the power of media for social transformation. She is the curator of the groundbreaking, critically acclaimed virtual exhibition, Muslima: Muslim Women’s Art & Voices.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
Line Renaud ♠ 80 Ans Du Casino De Paris Extraits

What NOT to Wear in Paris 2019 | How To Avoid Looking Like a Tourist in Paris & Europe
How to avoid looking like a tourist in Paris? What to wear in Europe? Follow our advice on the things you should not wear in Paris if you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb! The Paris dress code is not at all overwhelming, we're not saying you have to completely embody the Parisian style and dress like a Parisian - there are just a few practical tips to follow.
This video was inspired by Charli's blog post How To Dress in Paris to Fit in with the Locals:
'Your ticket is booked, your plans made, all that’s left is packing. So what do you wear around Paris if you don’t want to scream “tourist”? Before you start packing, learn the Dos and Don’ts of dressing in Paris for both men and women.
In France, dressing nicely is considered good manners, but not looking like a tourist is also a practical matter in Paris. The more you fit in, the less of a target you’ll be for scammers, pickpockets and people trying to sell you stuff you don’t want. It will also save you being stared at by disapproving locals in restaurants. You will get better service wherever you go if you are dressed according to French custom.'

Jackie O Synopsis
Jackie O (1997) is a celebration of musical life in the late sixties, a pop opera that explores the interplay of various musical idioms associated with high and popular culture in America.
Wayne Koestenbaum has described the loose narrative of his libretto as a collage in the style of Gertrude Stein's libretto for Four Saints in Three Acts, an opera by 20th century American composer, Virgil Thomson. Koestenbaum has written both poetry and non-fiction works on opera and on iconic opera singers like Maria Callas.[4] It is not surprising that in addition to the character of Maria Callas, there are several conscious allusions to the art-form in the Jackie O libretto. These include: Violetta's death aria from La traviata, reflected in Addio Del Passato; the funeral pyre from the final scene of Norma, reflected in The Flame Duet; and both Countess Almaviva's forgiveness aria in The Marriage of Figaro and the off-stage voice of the imprisoned Manrico in Il trovatore, reflected in Jack's Song.[5][6]
Act I begins with a happening in artist Andy Warhol's studio in New York City, attended by various celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Aristotle Onassis, and his lover, Maria Callas. All eagerly anticipate Jackie and sing Jackie's Coming!. Jackie arrives and is fascinated by Onassis. Callas realizes that Onassis is going to leave her for Jackie and sings Addio Del Passato (Goodbye to the past). Onassis and Jackie escape from the party to see a new art movie, I Am Curious (Yellow).
Act II is set on Onassis' yacht, Christina, and on his private island, Skorpios. Jackie and Onassis have now been married for a year. On the yacht, Jackie becomes increasingly melancholy and given to trance-like states. Maria Callas seeks a reunion with Onassis and the two decide to meet (I Will See You At The Lido). In one of her trances, Jackie wanders off to the island, where she and Maria Callas meet and reconcile with each other as they sing The Flame Duet. Jackie and Callas then smash a paparazzo's camera, which gives Jackie the power to communicate with her dead husband, who is heard as a disembodied voice. She forgives him for his past infidelities in their duet, Jack's Song. The opera ends with Jackie deciding to return to America, wistfully singing The New Frontier Is Here.
