The ESCAPE projection was created by the Hungarian pioneer of videomapping. His play of light with a facade is minimalist in colour, but unafraid of using figurative motifs. This combination of figurative and abstract elements with dramatic musical tones from the renowned Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhansson creates a unique approach to videomapping.
When watching Escape viewers get the impression that the facade is transforming before their eyes into compelling humanoids, who at one point spy the viewer with unsettling glances and gaze at them suspiciously, and at another fall somewhere into the depths of space as a symbol of the fragility of human destiny.
Bordos ArtWorks is a pseudonym for a major Hungarian 3D artist, László Zsolt Bordos. He began as a VJ in Budapest, but soon his interest moved to grander forms. Thanks to his first large-format 3D projections, which were created fifteen years ago, and the first videomapping project in Paris in 2007, he became a pioneer of this genre, which remains popular today. Cooperating with other artists since 2010, he started to run the projects under the name ‘Bordos.ArtWorks and Invited Artists’, which became internationally recognized as eminent representatives of videomapping. Since 2014 Bordos is focusing again on solo art projects, installations and scenery projections for theaters and opera houses.

Prague's historic building have been transformed into a luminous canvas for the four day Signal Light Festival which brings together around 20 artworks.
There are dazzling surprises in store in parks, down cobbled streets and in various other locations across the city.
STORYLINE:
The world famous cobblestone streets are ablaze with dancing and strobing light in Prague, Czech Republic, where visitors can find mesmerizing light and motion instillation artworks throughout the city this weekend.
The city kicked off its annual Signal Light Festival in Karlinske Namesti (Karlin Square) with a video mapping projection on the exterior of the Church of Saint Cyril and Methodius, titled Future Ruins.
Video mapping is a form of ephemeral art where artists create moving designs and images to be projected onto buildings or objects that augment their target and seem to animate them.
Signal Light Festival is an annual public art installation festival featuring video mapping and installation art pieces in public and private spaces throughout the city.
Viewers of the art can observe or in some cases take part, in the displays.
At one piece in the Vinohrady neighborhood titled, Stratum, the public is invited to wave their hand over a motion sensor that transmits their movements into commands to light shafts made from LEDs making the participant the conductor of a light show.
While in the Karlin neighborhood, inside a warehouse, viewers stand in awe of a wall of cardboard boxes staked to the ceiling, thrumming out a steady rhythm as they are struck by balls on wires.
The effect is reflective and spellbinding.
Signal light festival, which celebrates its sixth year, has become the most visited cultural event in the country with the projected number of visitors reaching, and possibly exceeding, a half a million people over the four day festival.
It runs nightly from 7pm to 11pm for outdoor displays and until midnight at some of the indoor artworks until Sunday October 14, 2018.

Mesmerizing light shows, edgy art pieces, strobing lights and curious sites await visitors to Prague, Czech Republic, this weekend.
The city's annual Signal Festival is kicking off.
STORY-LINE:
One of Europe's largest light festivals is set to begin Thursday (10 October) in Prague.
It's the first year the city's fashionable riverside district is hosting the festival.
Signal Festival is an annual public art installation festival, featuring video mapping and installation art pieces in public and private spaces throughout the city.
Viewers can observe - and in some cases take part - in the displays.
Signal Festival is important because it brings current art, or modern art, into the streets and it makes (it) available for the people who are not visiting galleries. It shows them gallery installations in the street, says program coordinator, Matej Vlasanek.
Among the highlights is Simple Harmonic Motion for Lights at the Czech Museum of Music by Turkish artist, Memo Akten.
He says his work tries to illustrate how all human knowledge works.
This is what chemistry is, biology, finance, economics, psychology, explains Akten.
So, what I hope is people to spend a lot of time in here, to either just let themselves go, be mesmerized, or to look at it, lose themselves, try to find patterns and then fractals of patterns and more patterns.

One example is on the exterior of the Baroque-style Tyrs House. It's titled R.Evolution, by SKILZ, a creative studio from Kiev, Ukraine.

This year's event features 18 art installations by artists from the Czech Republic and abroad.
The expected number of visitors may reach, or possibly even exceed, half a million people over the festival's four days.

The video mapping projection, called Caryatids, forms part of the four day Signal Light Festival which brings together around 20 visual artists from all over the world.

Caryatids artist Nguema explains his vision: I don't try to influence anyone, I try to make the eyes shine, I try to touch the people, I try to make poetry, I try to make beauty.
Festival organisers say they want to make visual art more accessible to the wider public and first launched the event five years ago.

One popular interactive piece, HEARDT, is an installation where piano players reward their audience with a light show of LED strips that correspond to the music played.
It is an installation, interactive installation where there is a big heart and piano beneath it. And as you play on the piano the heart illuminates. So there is a lot of messages behind it I believe. And I think that it is a perception of every visitor, if he wants to see it as just a playing tool or if he wants to see it a message of tranquillity behind it, says festival organiser Martin Posta.
Posta adds that the event can mean many thing to many people.
Each art piece has a different approach, each art piece has a different message, and it is up to visitor to perceive the message that is behind the art.
Tourism officials say Signal Light Festival has become the most visited cultural event in the country.
The projected number of visitors is expected to exceed half a million people over the four days.

What to do in Prague? Where to go to a great musical festival? Try to attend United Islands of Prague. It is open air festival which is free of charge and happens every year in June. Exhibition of photographs and paintings of five artists from Nepal and Czech artist, writer and traveler Milena Oda Laska is organized from 29th May 2017 to 30th July 2017 at the Chvalsky zamek Castle in Prague under the auspices of Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Nepal Milan Hovorka. The official title of the exhibition is Towards Peace: Art by Contemporary Nepalese Artists.
All the exhibited works were made in Nepal at the foot of the Himalayas. Main coordinator of the project is the Czech curator Milena Oda Laska. The exhibition will be displayed in the gallery of the castle Chvalsky zamek, Na chvalske tvrzi 4, Praha 20, Czech Republic
Opening of the exhibition was held on 29th May, 2017 at 6.30 pm with the participation of Nepalese artists.

Pod záštitou velvyslance ČR v Nepálu Milana Hovorky se ve dnech 29. května až 30. července 2017 ve Chvalském zámku v Praze uskuteční výstava fotografií a obrazů díla několika nepálských autorů, jejichž díla vznikla na úpatí Himalájí.
Vernisáž výstavy se uskuteční v pondělí 29. května 2017 od 18.30 hodin za účasti umělců z Nepálu Bishnu Bishwokarma, Gity Baral, Prakashe Gautama a Sabin Poudel. Kurátory výstavy jsou Navin K. Jungali a Milena Oda Láska.
Výstava je prodejní. Prodejem obrazů se podpoří celý projekt a cesta umělců z Nepálu do České republiky.
Velvyslanectví České republiky v Dillí projekt podpořilo tím, že nepálské umělce osvobodilo od úhrady vízových poplatků.

Video mapping, light projection, and many other interesting, nice things came out on the night streets of Prague.
The SIGNAL festival is one the largest cultural event in the Czech Republic, bringing modern art and new technology to the wider and technical public. The streets and public spaces of Prague, its most famous historical landmarks, and even a few lesser-known nooks and crannies were transformed for four nights, from 13.10 to 16.10, in light art and design.
