Prince Edward County is a tough place to make wine. It's cooler, wetter, and more prone to frost than Niagara. If that wasn't enough vinifera vines need to be buried to to survive the winter. This is extreme winemaking. It only gets harder to eek out a living the further south you go as visitor traffic becomes less frequent the further you move from the 401. But the dedicated winemakers near Milford believe they've found a special place there.
