At the top of Lijiang Ancient Town, there is a mountain called Lion Mountain (狮子山). A very peaceful place to visit because of the panoramic view on whole lijiang town and also there is not much of overcrowded visitor due to the reason there is an entrance fee of RMB 50. (Around USD7.50).

the Old Town of Lijiang, also known as Dayan Town, it is located in the middle of the Lijiang Dam, according to the North Xiangshan, Hong Jin Shan, West pillow Lion Rock, southeast facing wide field of dozens of miles of farmland. Lijiang is the second batch to be approved by one of the historical and cultural city in China, but also to the United Nations declaration of one of the ancient city of the success of the world's cultural heritage.

See China from above. On a recent trip, I saw inland China and Yunnan Province (my absolute favourite place in China). The remote destinations were beautiful, accommodating, and mysterious. We had no idea how to get around so we took each day as it came. We ended up on some pretty long hikes and bus rides, but it all was worth it. Take me back!!!
