Cruising with dolphins and turtles toward one of the world's most beautiful coastline - Kauai's Na Pali Coast. When there enjoy massive sea caves that our boats are just small enough to fit into, yet large enough for you to walk around in comfort. Enjoy some once-in-a-lifetime photo ops and be able to walk around the deck, while being able to sit down in comfort whenever you need. Halfway through the tour we stop to snorkel on one of the Na Pali Coast reefs. Enjoy a fresh deli lunch made locally while the birds soar overhead and we relax in the sun.
This 5 hour trip is brought to you by Makana Charters, a local Hawaiian-owned company with local crew that takes pride in sharing Aloha with you on Kauai.

Dolphins on Kauai's Napali Coast - Filmed aboard Makana Charters
Kauai's spectacular Napali Coast is more than just stunning scenery. It is also home to diverse marine life all around in the waters beneath our boats. In this video, we see two different types of dolphins : The well-known Bottlenose Dolphins, and the Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins.
While we do not guarantee dolphin sightings on our trip due to the fact that these are unpredictable wild animals, we can say that a large majority of our trips usually have at least one sighting of a dolphin pod.

Na Pali Catamaran Tour - Na Pali Coast - Kauai - HD
Catamaran tour along the visually stunning, remote, and rugged Na Pali Coast on Kauai. The tours begins with a short boat ride from the shore out to the 34 foot powered catamaran boat named the Kamahele Kai, anchored in Hanalei Bay. Once aboard, the tour heads down the Na Pali Coast.
Tour highlights includes an ocean view of many beautiful beaches, caves, waterfalls, sheer cliffs, a dormant volcano, spinner dolphins, and culminates in a nice snorkeling spot, with many fish, and the occasional turtle. The tour also takes a detour into a cave, and passes closely to a waterfall flowing through the ceiling of another cave. The tour passes the famous Kalalau Valley and beach made famous by many Hollywood movies. Great tour guides, and amazing scenery.
Some are confused at referring to this boat as a catamaran, as it does not appear like the standard sailing catamaran. It has a catamaran type of hull, but it is a powered boat. The lack of a sail allows it to be small enough to duck into some of the caves.
We hope you enjoy the video. Let s know if there are any questions or comments.

Makana Charters is based out of Waimea on Kauai's sunny west side. We are locally owned by a native Hawaiian family. Our boat is smaller than most large boats yet big enough to fit 12 comfortably.
We operate out of the closest port to the Na Pali Coast, whereas most larger operators must leave from Port Allen which can be an extra 2 hours round trip on open sea.
Come see why Makana makes all the difference! We know that you won't be disappointed.
Aloha!

Spouting Horn Beach Park, Kauai, HI
Once upon a time, the beach was protected by a mo'o (giant female lizard) who would eat all those who swam of fished in her waters. One day a brave Hawaiian named Liko tempted fate by fishing in the mo'o's territory. When the mo'o came after him, Liko threw a spear into her mouth. This angered the mo'o, which then chased Liko into the sea cave / lava tube where she became trapped. The mo'o is stuck there to this day, her cries of pain and hunger can be heard each time the waves fill the Spouting Horn.
