Another fantastic dive this time at Yofu Bay, Likoma Island. This dive took place a day after the Taiwanee Reef dive.
You'll have to watch the video closely as there's a few species you don't often see being filmed in the wild.
Thanks for watching and please feel free to share the video with like minded hobbyists.

Ndomo Reef is just off Ndomo point, Likoma island. As you can see in the video the enviornment down there is very odd, it felt like I was diving on another planet!
The water was a bit turbid due to the current being strong.
Highlight of the dive was the Tyrannochromis macrostoma collecting her fry (Featured at the begining of the video)

Ndomo House Likoma Island Lake Malawi
Welcome to Ndomo House on Likoma Island Lake Malawi. I stayed in this award winning holiday destination which is part of the kaya Mawa lake malawi resorts for free. Due to the fact that my friend was working for the home owner who was away on business. I believe it's usually $3000 to rent per day, so I was unbelievably lucky.
Malawi tourism is all but non existent and it is one of the most beautiful, unvisited parts of the African continent. But be warned, the one thing about Malawi as in most part of africa is the trash. Unfortunately the Africans themselves have neither the knowledge or desire to clean things up, so it's quite depressing in that sense.
Fortunately for the wealthy traveller, they are shielded in blissful ignorance from the waste while staying at Kaya Mawa. So enjoy this amazing part of the world and it's people while it lasts.

If I had to choose a favourite dive of the trip, Maingano would be the winner!
The water was crystal clear, an abundance of species and such a diversity of rock scapes to admire.
Watch out for the numerous MCAT/OB Mbuna, stunning haps and a huge catfish that gets a bit too close for comfort!

Cape Maclear with Travel Malawi Guide
Cape Maclear is one of the best known holiday destinations on the lake located on the southern shore of Lake Malawi in Traditional Authority Nankumba 18km North of Monkey bay. It is a popular hot location with the cleanest beaches on Lake Malawi with its deep and crystal waters that boast a beautiful fish sanctuary and a delight to divers. This is also where the first freshwater national park and a world heritage site, Lake Malawi National Park is.
The name Cape Maclear was given by Dr. David Livingstone in dedication to his friend an Astronomer, Sir Thomas Maclear in 1861 who was Her Majesty's Astronomer at the Cape of Good Hope.
In 1980 Cape Maclear and its islands, forests and bay were declared a protected area, creating the Lake Malawi National Park. It is the first freshwater national park in the world. In 1984, the area became a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It is undoubtedly one of those areas on our Lake Malawi where you are able to enjoy a relaxed lakeside living: wander straight out of your suite and onto the beach, laze in a hammock with a good book, swim in gin-clear water, sun bask on the golden sand beaches, take trips to the surrounding villages and learn the cultures and dine on deliciously prepared fresh fish off the boats of the local fishermen.
Travel Malawi Guide recommends.
We also offer help on tours, planning and guidance for your trips. Businesses also have space for advertising. Photography and videography is also offered on both land and aerial. Let us together work and promote Malawi's tourism which will in turn lift our economy and many lives. Together we can achieve more.
