Animals celebrate Maslenitsa in Russia
Animals of Limpopo Zoo in Nizhny Novgorod are celebrating Maslenitsa these days.
Festival dinner has already become a tradition here. Animals are served blinies-Russian pancakes, which are baked in special way. Honey, fruit, vegetables and even condensed milk are also at the table.

Russia zoo's tapir appears to pick Argentina to beat Croatia
(21 Jun 2018) Tapir the Cleopatra at Nizhny Novgorod's Limpopo Zoo on Thursday appeared to predict Argentina would beat Croatia in their World Cup match in the evening.
Presented with a tub of fruit with an Argentina flag on it, and one with a Croatia flag, she opted for the Argentina tub.
But it should be noted, she did then snack on the fruit in the Croatia tub for good measure.
Cleopatra has already made three correct predictions, including the two Russia matches and the match between Sweden and South Korea, which also took place in Nizhny Novgorod.
Local bookmakers are mirroring Cleopatra's prediction – most odds are in favour of Argentina winning.

After spending a night at Zhenya's, I had a quick breakfast and tour of Nizhny Novgorod before being dropped off on the highway, M7 towards Moscow. I hitched a ride with a chef named Sergey to Moscow and he invited me to his home. His sister was away on vacation (who was also his roommate) and so, he even had a spare bed for me to sleep on at the apartment! I'd end up spending 2 nights at his place.

27 июля 2018 года в зоопарке «Лимпопо» откроют новый вольер, в котором пару дней назад поселилась белая медведица. Нового обитателя зовут Симона. Она переехала в Нижний Новгород из московского зоопарка. Для самого крупного сухопутного хищника планеты в «Лимпопо» выделили более тысячи квадратных метров.
