Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Pt 1
The Mayor of Skegness, along wih the Jolly Fisherman, was at the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway to launch the Tenth Anniversary Event. This was to mark the fact that the railway had been operating in Skegness since 2009 after relocating from Cleethorpes.
In this video we look at resident Peckett tank 'Jurassic' working passenger trains between South Loop and Wall Lane.

Narrow Gauge Railways of Great Britain The Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway August 2018
You have everything at this railway, planes and helicopters landing and taking off, steam train, what more do yo need!
We enjoyed our visit to this railway,we like Narrow gauge railways anyway.
Just one problem we noticed! THE RIDE PRICE IS TO CHEAP!!!
£1 each for a trip this is too cheap! £2.50 and a child £1 would be about right, that would be well worth the money.
Great bunch of guys running the railway.
The Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Runs Again
Formerly situated at Humberston, Fitties, holiday camp - this two foot gauge railway has finally re-opened after over twenty years in the wilderness. I was lucky enough to video the line when this diesel loco and a Peckett steam engine, Jurassic, were running in their last year of operation.
These shots were taken in May 2009 after several years of rebuilding the line on a caravan and leisure park near Skegness.
Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Re-Opening
The 2ft gauge Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway (LCLR) celebrated the tenth anniversary of it reopening in Skegness on July 13.
An iced wooden ‘cake’ was ‘fed’ to the line’s Peckett 0-6-0ST Jurassic at its Walls Lane station, in the Skegness Water Leisure Park in Ingoldmells by the Mayor of Skegness, Coun Mark Dannatt, accompanied by The Jolly Fisherman, the local mascot.
The ‘cake’ – actually a piece of old railway sleeper – was decorated by 18 year old Horncastle student Millie Waby, who enjoys baking and icing cakes – but not normally, ones made of wood for railway engines!
What was first railway in Britain to be built by enthusiasts reopened in 2009 on a new site 42 miles to the south of its original location. Since then, the track has gradually been extended and now totals three-quarters of a mile.

We take in the view as Jurassic, a Peckett tank built 1903, works a Passenger train from South Loop to Wall Lane.
The LCLR members were celebrating ten years of operation at Ingoldmells near Skegness.
Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Re-opens
In 1985 the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway ceased to trade at it's location at Humberston (nr Cleethorpes). After a time in storage, a new location was found at the Water Leisure Park at Ingoldmells, 3 miles from Skegness. The line reopened on 3 May 2009, and we see here one of the trains on the first day of service arriving at the new Lakeview station.

Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway -'Jurassic'
Liked 'Jurassic', she appealed to me somehow. I will go again and spend a longer time at the L.C.L.R. Well done to all of their volunteers and helpers. Good restoration to rolling stock, an interesting place.
LINCOLNSHIRE LIGHT RAILWAY - Spring 1994 - Part 1
LINCOLNSHIRE LIGHT RAILWAY - Spring 1994
After retiring from forty years toil in 1992, I used to spend a couple of days a week helping Alan Turner with his Lincolnshire Railway Museum which was situated in the old goods yard adjacent to Burgh-le-Marsh station on the Boston-Grimsby line.
The museum was housed inside the former GNR goods-shed, while Alan had built a 10.25 gauge railway around the shed and down to the end of the yard.
Shortly before the site was sold off I built a brake van from mostly scrap material, before taking it to the railway, about thirty miles away.
There are a couple more episodes to come.,

During the Tenth Anniversary Event the Peckett tank 'Jurassic' was to work passenger trains. In this video Jurassic works bunker first from Wall Lane to South Loop.
Lincolnshire Lost Railways - Lincoln To Boston Line Railway Stations.
The Lost Railways Of Lincolnshire - Lincoln To Boston Lost Riverside Line.
This line Was Left To Rot in 1970s, Leaving 9 Stations (Washingborough, 5 Miles House, Bardney, Southrey, Stixwould, Woodhall Junction, Tattershall, Dogdyke And Langrick.)
This Was Sad As it is, Because if It was still remaining I would have a Train Station Right Where I Live!!
Even Though it is Sad, There Are some Benefits: The Lost Railway Has Been Converted Into A Mostly Smooth Concrete Path Cycle / Walking Route, Right Alongside the River Witham. Alongside this, Some Of The Stations Still remains Intact, With Stern Brick Platforms Still Remaining, as Well As Station Buildings. Alongside this route there are Signs Installed to tell You a Little History Of The Route And The Surrounding Areas.
This Was the Path I used to Cycle 17 Miles Either Way To Lincoln.

Narrow Gauge, Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, featuring LNER 6284 12/08/2018.
On Sunday 12th August 2018, we made our first ever visit to the delightful Narrow Gauge Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway in Lincolnshire, and we rode the line from Lakeside to Cleethorpes via Humberston and return, hauled throughout by the magnificent 2009 built LNER 04 Class 6284. If the Driver sees this video, I must apologise for the late upload to YouTube, but when I returned back to my digs, I found I couldn't us the Internet provided to upload...anyway enjoy.
