THAT'S A LOT - PYMATUNING SPILLWAY
One of the best known locations in Pymatuning is the spillway, an area where the fish are so plentiful that the ducks walk on the fishes' backs to compete for the food fed by the visitors. A fish feeding station is available for people with disabilities. From Fries Road to Linesville Road, this two-mile trail has parking and access at either end. This gravel trail on an abandoned railway is ideal for hiking and mountain biking. View Pymatuning Reservoir and visit nearby Linesville fish hatchery. The Spillway at Linesville, Pennsylvania
This is a really neat place to visit to see these giant Carp swimming all over the place. To see how many of them are crammed so close together is amazing to wonder how they do it all the time and survive. They are fed well at this area from visitors so I don't think they have to worry about them dying from starvation...
Here is a little about the area and a link below if you want to see more:
There are several points of interest throughout the town, chiefly Pymatuning Lake and the Linesville Spillway. In warm weather, the spillway on the sanctuary (eastern) side is home to thousands of oversized carp, attracted by the bread thrown into the water by visitors; this is known as The Place Where the Ducks Walk on the Fishes' Backs, coined by local businessman Alpine Maclaine. The Spillway is locally billed as Pennsylvania's second most popular tourist attraction, after the Liberty Bell and the logo of the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department is, in fact, a duck standing on the back of a fish.[citation needed]
Pymatuning Lake is also said to be the largest man-made lake in Pennsylvania. It was created in the 1930's as a Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) project. Linesville is also home to the University of Pittsburgh's Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology.

Collecting Walleye for Spawning- Linesville SFH- 04.06.18
On Friday, April 6, 2018, the PFBC's Central Regional Outreach and Education Coordinator, Dee Fisher, spent the morning with the Linesville State Fish Hatchery staff to see first-hand how Walleye are collected for spawning. On this day, Linesville staff were also joined by staff from the Fairview State Fish Hatchery, so that two boats could go out and collect Walleye. Once the trapnets were emptied, the Walleye were returned to the hatchery for sorting (male and female) and then spawning.
