One of the most awe-inspiring sights in Jiangsu is the Great Buddha at Lingshan, along the shores of Lake Taihu in Wuxi. Standing solemnly at the site of famous Tang Dynasty Xiangfu Temple, The statue of the Buddha is largest anywhere in the world.This bronze colossus stands 88 meters tall; its lotus flower pedestal brings the entire structure to over 100 meters.

At more than 88 metres high, the Grand Buddha at Ling Shan is a bronze Sakyamuni standing Buddha outdoor, weighing over 700 tons. It was completed in the end of 1996.
In 2008, a Five-signets Palace and a Brahma Palace were built south-east of the grand Buddha statue.

In our visit to Wuxi China, we have the oportunity to visit the Lingshan Brahma Palace, this amazing place is just about 25 minutes away from the Downtown area in Wuxy.

Located at the southwest tip of Wuxi and on the Majishan Peninsula stretching from the northern Bank of Taihu Lake, the Mt. Lingshan Scenic Area is a Buddhist wonderland in the Taihu Lake National Tourist Resort. Covering an area of 30 hectares (74 acres), this park is famous for the world’s largest bronze Buddha statue with an amazing height of 88 meters (289 feet). In addition, it features wonderful attractions including the Brahma Palace, Five Mudra Mandala, Nine Dragons Bathing Sakyamuni, Xiangfu Temple and many other Buddhist sites.
The majority of the attractions extend along a southeast-northwest axis from the main gate to the Grand Buddha statue with some sights to the east. Here is a recommended itinerary for you to fully enjoy the scenic area.
Entrance → Grand Screen Wall → Altar of Buddha’s Footprints → Nine Dragons Bathing Sakyamuni → Buddha’s Hand Square → Xiangfu Temple → Ancient Ginkgo Square → Grand Buddha → Brahma Palace → Flying Dragon Tower → Five Mudra Mandala → Exit

Ling Shan, WUXI -The Birth of Buddha shown with beautiful Fountain show at Wuxi, China
Situated in Maji Mountain area and near to Taihou Lake, only 25 kilometers away from the city of Wuxi, Lingshan Grand Buddha is a part of a larger spiritual site that includes Xiangfu ancient Buddhist temple (dates back to Tang Dynasty), and newly built Brahma Palace (erected in 2008).
A series of smaller sculptures, known as Nine Dragons Bathing Baby Buddha, in the form of fountain show is a treat to watch with right ambiance of spirituality presence as the background music and comments going well with the event. Surrounded by mountain in three directions, the area was known as a spiritual Buddhist site since ancient times and a reconstruction series began in 1994 in order to give it back its old glory.
Lingshan Grand Buddha statue which is made of bronze stand very majestic with around 88 meters tall, was added to the site in 1996 during the reconstruction of Xiangfu Temple.

Wuxi China: An Unknown Amazing City!
Wuxi! 无锡! This city is a well-known city in China, to the rest of the world... it's unknown! It is an absolutely amazing city. There's a small mountain, the 3rd biggest lake in China, ancient towns, ancient streets, a beautiful pagoda, and these are only the places that I visited. There is so much more to do in this city. Watch as Phil and myself explore this amazing hidden gem of a city!
