This is a map of all my completed video walks.. and my walks 'To do' list
About Dave's Walks I enjoy walking, I enjoy watching videos of people walking. Decided to get some camera equipment and make some of my own videos, so I can share my walks with like-minded people. After looking around on YouTube, I could not find many channels that focus on the Great British Countryside, So this is what I aim to focus on. Small towns, villages, Picturesque Landscapes, Rolling hills and mountains, along the coastline.
I also Plan to do some ASMR-ish style videos. Videos watching waves crash on a dark rainy day, watching clouds pass by on a windy day in the hills, watching the sunset on a far-off village, listening to a stream trickle through the woods, a waterfall up on a mountain. Taking in all the sounds. Great videos as you drift off to sleep.
Filmed with a DMC-GH5 in UltraHD 4K 60FPS. Using a Panasonic DG Vario-Elmarit 8-18MM f/2.8-4 ASPH Lens. Sound - Rode Micro Microphone. Stabiliser - DJI Ronin-S Basic Kit. A Cheapish Tripod. Sandisk Extreme Pro 256GB memory Card.
I don't do any video editing, Its from Camera straight to YouTube.

Salmon Leaping Black Linn Waterfall By Dunkeld Highland Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland Autumn travel video of a Salmon leaping up Black Linn Waterfall by Dunkeld, Highland Perthshire. Salmon tend to be more active in the early morning and evening so time your visit to make the most of your salmon spotting. The Falls of Shin in Sutherland, the Highlands, is known as being one of the best spots in the UK. If you are around the Perthshire region, head to Black Linn Waterfall or Buchanty Spout, Easter Glenalmond near Crieff or to the Linn of Tummel and the nearby Pitlochry Dam Fish Ladder. At the Philiphaugh Salmon Viewing Centre near Selkirk in the Scottish Borders, you can not only see the salmon but experience the visitor centre dedicated to this species of fish.

The Pass of Killiecrankie
The Pass of Killiecrankie is a magnificent wooded gorge supporting an abundance of wildlife. The River Garry flows along it's base down to the Linn of Tummel.
The Battle of Killiecrankie was fought in July 1689 between the Jacobites, led by John Graham of Claverhouse (also known as Bonnie Dundee) and the government troops, commanded by Sir General Hug Mackay. The Jacobites were victorious and the government troops fled down the Pass.
During the flight of the govemrnt troops after the battle, one soldier -Donald MacBane- made a spectacular escape. Chased by a group of Highlanders, MacBane climbed down onto the rocky riverbank and made an 18ft (5,5m) leap across the fast flowing - River Gsrry. He later wrote that Many of our men were lost in that water.

2007 09 09 Tummel
A dry weekend for the autumn in Scotland, and at the end of a season of big releases during dam maintenance on the Tummel. Very little was in condition, but this release saved our day as it provided a very entertaining paddle, without the intimidation factor that you get with a full release. Nonetheless, only Pete Ball was brave enough to run the final fall at the Linn of Tummel.
