New Sales Mode Introduced at China Fashion Week in Beijing
The buying at seeing sales mode has been initially introduced at the ongoing China International Fashion Week held in Beijing from March 24 to April 1.
The mode means consumers can buy these designs online by scanning the QR codes at the show or on the internet live-show platforms.
More consumers can buy. Previous off-line sales cost more and are geographically restricted. Good designers may not get known. In fact, the online sales can break through the time and geographical restrictions, said Ding Xia, director of the clothing business division of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com Inc..
Along with the e-commerce growth, we can use the quickest way to let the consumers buy our designs. These business opportunities are created by the progress of this era, said Zhang Qinghui, chairman of the China Association of Fashion Design.
International new trend brands and domestic new fashion designers jointly launched three new design releases on Wednesday, which attracted lots of young audiences. Those designs are for people around 25 years old. Among them, the sport series embodied tailoring in a retro style and exquisite detail designs. The newly released dress series has combined morbidezza and robust style together to embody the vanguard of modern lady.

National Museum of China, Chinese (Pinyin) Zhongguo Guojia Bowuguan or (Wade-Giles romanization) Chung-kuo Kuo-chia Po-wu-kuan, museum in Beijing, located on the east side of Tiananmen Square. The museum was created in 2003 by the merger of the National Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of the Chinese Revolution. It is the largest museum in China and one of the largest museums in the world.
The National Museum of Chinese History, the main exhibits of which covered the history of China from its earliest beginnings up until the Chinese Revolution of 1911–12, was established at the former Imperial College of the Ming and Qing dynasties in 1912 and later expanded to rooms above the south gate of the Forbidden City and associated spaces. It opened to the public in 1926 and was reorganized in 1997 based on the latest archaeological and historical findings and arranged in chronological order. The Museum of the Chinese Revolution, established in 1950, was dedicated to the history of China from about 1840 onward, particularly highlighting the history of the Chinese Communist Party. A new building to house the two museums was completed in 1959.
After China won the bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, officials decided to combine the museums into a single entity and embarked on a massive renovation of the building. Construction began in 2007, and the museum reopened to the public in 2011, boasting some 2,153,000 square feet (200,000 square metres) of space—nearly three times its original size. The museum’s collection features more than one million objects, ranging from replicas of bones of Peking man to scientific instruments introduced to China by missionaries in the 18th and 19th centuries and many hundreds of decorative objects—such as bronzes, pottery, lacquerware, jade, and textiles—and documents, art, and artifacts ranging from the Paleolithic Period to the present.

In fact I like Giorgio Armani. I think he is a great designer who deservers our respect. From his designs in haute couture to casual wear like Armani Exchange and Emperor Armani, as well as his design on home furniture, they are just beautiful.
7. SOUNDBITE: (Cantonese) Eunice Chan, Hong Kong model
I think it's always elegant to wear his design in any place, any time. His design is just classic and for long term .

I think haute couture has to be carried by the right person. This is very important. Instead of saying whether a girl is pretty or not, it's more important to see if she has the composition. As long as you have the composition and you match it with a classic design, this is already a win-win situation.

SciFriday: Is the Wuhan Coronavirus Disease X?
A pneumonia-like illness emerged in the Chinese port city of Wuhan in December. Health officials there are concerned enough to shut down transportation to an area that includes 20 million people. The infection has spread to South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and the US, but so far the World Health Organization has decided not to declare the outbreak a global emergency.
We compare the Wuhan coronavirus to the Spanish flu of a hundred years ago, discuss the potential for it to become the “Disease X” that health officials fear, and explain why this disease, and SARS before it, can be traced back to a Chinese outdoor meat market.
