The Tallest Waterfall in Iceland and The Blue Lagoon // Iceland Ring Road Trip, Day 7
Glymur waterfall and the Blue Lagoon.
Today we hiked up to Glymur Waterfall, which is the tallest waterfall in Iceland, at 198 meters. The hike was so fun and it included crossing a river and walking through a cave. After our hike, we drove to Reykjavik and relaxed while trying some fun foods. Then to finish out our week, we visited the Blue Lagoon at night.

The Complete ICELAND Roadtrip | Circling the Island (4K)
I hope you enjoy this cinematic travel video of my trip to Iceland. This past summer Courtney and I spent 10 days road tripping around the island. We started in Reykjavik and circled counterclockwise around the entire country. The entire trip was unbelievable, it's hard to describe how beautiful this country is. Hopefully, this video can do a little justice.

A March Through Europe (Pt. 101) - Good Morning, Reykjavik, Iceland!
March 24, 2018 - It's a beautiful, bright, sunny spring day here in the capital of Iceland. I decided to walk down to the part of the harbour I hadn't seen yesterday, and was rewarded with not only seeing the Sun Voyager but the beautiful snowy peaks across Reykjavik Harbour.

ICELAND : Northern Lights | Glacier Lagoon | Plane Wreck & Waterfalls
ICELAND : Northern Lights | Glacier Lagoon | Plane Wreck & Waterfalls is my second installment of my epic adventure to the awesome country of Iceland
You'd be dissapointed to go to Iceland and not see any ice right? Then look no further than the Glacier Lagoon. We visited the lagoon around sunrise and it was majestic to say the least. Just across from the Glacier Lagoon is the beach where all the bits of glacier break up and litter the beach. This is spectacular to watch at sunrise as the sun bounces off all the little fragments of ice and its amazing.
Then on our drive from the Glacier Lagoon back to Reykjavik we stopped off and some awesome waterfalls and a plane wreck that we head read about on lonely planet. But a word of warning, you can't really drive down to the plane wreck, so wrap up warm as its a long walk to it, but worth every minute when you get there.
The barren Iceland landscape all around the plane wreck makes you feel like you've landed on another planet.
Then to finish off our Iceland adventure we went out again to see if we could see the Northern lights. Now seeing the northern lights isn't as easy as just going to Iceland. Firstly it depends on the actually Arura activity for the night, usually it is good, but then your second enemy for your battle to see the northern lights is cloud cover. Around the perfect time to see the Northern lights in Iceland is also a time of snow, so often you can get too much cloud cover that you can longer even see through to see the Northern lights. Be patient, go away from light pollution in Reykjavik (although they can sometimes be seen from the city) and stick the heater on in the car and wait :)
I can't recommend Iceland enough for a place to visit. Like mentioned above it has so much to see from Northern Lights through to blue lagoon hot springs, glacier lagoon, plane wreck, waterfalls, geysers and much much more.

Iceland Ring Road and Golden Circle in 5 days

Inspired by Iceland
ICE(land) -- a kitsch or a masterpiece?
To tell you the truth, it really looks almost kitschy. You drive half an hour and arrive to one planet. Then you drive another half an hour and suddenly you find yourself on a completely different planet. It's all green at one time, then it's all black, and in another part it's all red, after an hour's drive everything turns all yellow, further on you see a combination of all the above. You see columns of smoke rising from hills, massive glaciers, surrounded by endless black lava fields, the Atlantic Ocean, and millions of waterfalls which after a while you don't even notice anymore, since there's too many.
The only constant in Iceland is the ever changing weather condition :). As the old local Viking wisdom goes: If you don't like the weather now, wait five minutes -- it'll probably get worse. Heh...
It gets pretty cold up there, but you easily forget about that, since every couple of meters you run across a hot spring, a hot tub, or a whole hot river, in which you can freely soak in a pensioner way and let the time pass you by. Besides, it's ICELAND! You cannot expect palm trees and +30⁰C there.
The nature is really crazy!!! Waaaaauuuu and look at that and the best and yeeeey are words, which you say around 100 times a day.
If you happen to be interested in how the end of the world looks like (in Iceland this means Látrabjarg or to put it better -- a place on the far west at the back of beyond) -- a huge steep cliff and beneath a kilometres-long orange-red sandy beach, wind blowing 150 km/h, the ocean and millions of different birds. Among them the sexiest are the clumsy Atlantic Puffins, which are some kind of gurus of this part of the earth. And then comes one these extremely likable two-legged feathery models... only half a meter away from me, while lying at the edge of the precipice... and says directly into my face -- You're such a puffin! :)
Iceland is completely out of mind! The colour palette is edgy and appears to be gaudy, but soon you realize that it's more like a harmony of a wonderful Hundertwasser mosaic. Even though everything is in contrast, it is on the exact perfect place and exactly the way it is supposed to be. The spaciousness of untouched nature, the quietness, endlessness, freedom, that you can practically breathe - or feel boiling underneath your feet... boiling really intensely. You can almost feel wild rhythms of Orff's Carmina Burana flowing through its veins. Iceland is elegant and wild at the same time. Iceland is rock'n'roll. Iceland is a balm for the soul!
To put it differently -- if an almighty being really exists, whether it's Allah or some kind of a purple osteoporotic worm, than Iceland must be his orgasm, his chef-d'œuvre, his Mona Lisa. Definitely a masterpiece!

Iceland! My first girls holiday
My sister turned 40 in December so we went for an amazing holiday in Iceland.
I'm Lisa, previously Lumdeedums and this is my little corner of odd.
I have 3 children of my own, 1 boy and 2 girls with my husband, Darren. Our youngest, Edith has autism and a chromosome deletion (2p14). Also sensory processing disorder, global developmental delay, Hypermobility, speech delay and a sleep disorder.
I am an experience surrogate having done both TS (Traditional surrogacy) and GS (Gestational Surrogacy).
I've been a surrogate 3 times, having helped create 3 families. I've worked with 2 amazing same sex couples and 1 heterosexual couple. I loved it! And try and help people learn the truth about surrogacy. Its not seedy, you don't get paid and its actually kinda boring lol
I do real life videos, information videos about autism and surrogacy and topic videos as I work with Channel Mum. I am not polished. No one envies my life, my house or my looks. I am not fake, I'm too tired to pretend to be anything but me. So if you're after someone all white, shiny and perfect, I am not your gal. Sorry. If you want to feel less alone, probably good about yourself or just fancy a laugh... stick around!
