European Heritage Label - Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music
The European Heritage Label goes to cultural heritage sites important to the history of the EU as a whole. European Heritage Label sites are also recognised for highlighting this European context, ensuring access for the public and organising awareness-raising activities.
Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary was selected for the European Heritage Label in 2016.
The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music was established in 1875 by the outstanding composer and musician himself. It is a multi-faceted institution: an educational institution, an international university of musical arts and a concert centre. It brings our music heritage to the fore whilst holding true to its spirit of openness, creativity and innovation and its European and international character.
The Academy is housed in a 1907 building by Flóris Korb and Kálman Giergl, which is considered to be a masterpiece of Hungarian Secession. It integrates inter alia the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre, the Kodály Institute and the Kodály Museum.

A 2015. 12. 22-én avatóünnepség zajlott a 16 éve balesetet szenvedett MÁV M61 004-es mozdony maradványának a Közlekedési Múzeumtól új helyszínre, Tapolcára való költözése alkalmából. Az eseményre a MÁV Nosztalgia Kft. szervezésében az összes működőképes egykori MÁV-os, azaz (az eredeti húszból) hat Nohabból álló szerelvény közlekedett Budapest-Tapolca-Budapest útvonalon, egy hatkocsis szerelvényt vontatva.
A rövid videó a menet esti áthaladását rögzíti a ködben úszó Ferencváros állomáson.
In 22-12-2015 there was an inauguration ceremony of MÁV M61 004's remains in Tapolca. (This loco had a fatal accident in 1999. From 2002 to 2015 its remains were exhibited at Transport Museum, Budapest.) For that occasion all of working ex-MÁV's Nohabs (6 from the original number, 20) composed a long convoy, pulling a six-car-train from Budapest to Tapolca and back to Budapest.
This short video shows as six Nohabs and their train pass through the foggy Ferencváros station, at the end of the journey.

Rubens, Van Dyck and the Splendour of Flemish Painting
The exhibition of the Museum of Fine Arts running from late October 2019 showcases the Golden Age of Flemish painting through the art of the foremost Baroque master of European art, Peter Paul Rubens, and that of his contemporaries.
The 120 or so displayed works have been loaned from forty prominent public collections, including the Louvre in Paris, the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, the Prado in Madrid, the National Gallery in Washington DC and the National Gallery in London.
Our main cooperating partner is the Liechtenstein Princely Collections in Vienna, contributing twenty remarkable masterpieces, among them a piece from Rubens’ monumental Decius Mus cycle, to be displayed along with the splendid tapestry based on the painting and woven with gold and silver thread (Palacio Real, Madrid). This will be the debut for the two works to be exhibited together.
Visitors will also be able to see a contemporary work: a site-specific composition which the museum asked Balázs Kicsiny, an internationally acclaimed Hungarian fine artist, to make specifically for the exhibition as a contemporary reflection upon a 17th-century subject.

The Franz Liszt Academy of Music-famous buildings in Budapest part.no.2.
The Franz Liszt Academy of Music (Hungarian: Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem, often abbreviated as Zeneakadémia, Music Academy) is a concert hall and music conservatory in Budapest, Hungary, founded on November 14, 1875
The Academy was named after its founder only in 1925. Initially christened the Royal National Hungarian Academy of Music, it was also called College of Music from 1919-1925.
Replacing the old Music Academy, the Academy moved into a building erected in 1907 at the corenr of Király Street and Ferenc Liszt Square. It serves as a centre for higher education, music training[1], and concert hall. The Art Nouveau style building is one of the most well-known in Budapest. It was designed by Flóris Korb and Kálmán Giergl at the request of Baron Gyula Wlassics, who was the Minister of Culture at that time. The façade is dominated by a statue of Liszt (sculpted by Alajos Stróbl). The inside of the building is decorated with frescoes, Zsolnay ceramics, and several statues (among them that of Béla Bartók and Frédéric Chopin). Originally the building also had stained glass windows, made by Miksa Róth
Franz Liszt (Hungarian: Liszt Ferencz, in modern use Liszt Ferenc,[note 1] from 1859 to 1867 officially Franz Ritter von Liszt)[note 2] (October 22, 1811 -- July 31, 1886) was a 19th century Hungarian[1][2][3] composer, virtuoso pianist, conductor, and teacher.
