Architect’s Micro Studio Apartment
In this video, we tour the incredible 28sqm (301sqft) apartment of architect Douglas Wan. The Melbourne apartment was originally constructed in the 1950's as housing for nurses. It’s now been completely reimagined for modern times and transformed into a clever small studio.

For Douglas, this was an opportunity to develop a small living space that would perfectly fit his needs and lifestyle. Attracted to simple living and a self described monastic lifestyle, he wanted to create a place where he could be a part of the city, yet also retreat from it. He ventured to carry out an architectural experiment and find out what was possible in his own small home.
Read More:
The result is a micro apartment which is as clever as it is simple. One which utilises the entire space, while remaining open and light. It’s rustic history is celebrated, yet also contrasted with the modern elements. Most importantly, it’s a wonderful home.
Enjoy the full video tour of this very special tiny apartment.

Purrfect Cat Cafe in Georgetown - Penang, Malaysia
On a hot and humid afternoon we enjoyed an air conditioned reprieve at the Purrfect Cat Cafe located in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia for an opportunity to pet, play and interact with cats.
The confessions of an addict...
Visiting our third cat cafe in Asia, I think it is safe to say we're addicted at this point. I'm not sure where we can turn for help but it is rather apparent that we need some. In all seriousness, we jumped at the opportunity to visit the recently opened Purrfect Cat Cafe in the heart of George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

As cat lovers we just can't get enough of these places. Compounded by the fact we're digital nomads, it is no wonder we keep checking out new cat cafes when we can't have a pet of our own these days.
Two years ago, when I first visited a cat cafe in Seoul, Korea not many people had heard of these novelty coffee shops; however, these days I'm constantly hearing more about new ones popping up all over the world.
I suppose purchasing overpriced drinks and food for the opportunity to pet furry little felines is becoming all of the rage.
This particular cafe was much smaller than previous ones we had visited. One of the positive aspects was the cozy environment and lack of people; however, there were less cats to play with and the majority of them were sleeping in a zone where we weren't allowed to touch them.
The food itself was decent and not as overpriced as in other cat cafes. Overall, we'd recommend going; however, you ought to take my recommendation with a grain of salt because I'd do just about anything to spend an afternoon petting adorable kitties.
Cat cafes seem like a novelty to most but certainly not for us. Visiting Purrfect Cat Cafe in Georgetown - Penang, Malaysia - marked our third cat cafe outing in Asia. Previously we had visited one in Seoul, South Korea and another one in Bangkok, Thailand.
The format for this recently opened cat cafe is similar to the two others we visited. For the opportunity to spend time with cats you have to purchase 18 Ringgit (the equivalent of six dollars) worth of snacks, desserts and/or drinks.
You can freely pet and play with the cats but picking them up or entering their sleep zone is not permitted.
This particular cat cafe had its strong and weak points. A smaller and more intimate space was certainly a bonus; however, there were less cats to play with and many of them were sleeping in the no people zone.
Overall, we'd recommend the Purrfect Cat Cafe as a fun afternoon outing to escape the stifling heat and humidity of typical day in George Town.

Gudang Cafe, Georgetown Penang by mtvPenang
Gudang Cafe @ Gat Armenian Street, Georgetown, Penang.
The Armenian-district is well known for its mural wall-paintings but there are more and more cafes joining the clamoring scene at the aforementioned area. A short walk from the most happening place in the heritage area of Georgetown... particularly the Little Children on a Bicycle wall art at Armenian Street... will land you at Gudang Cafe; a newly opened warehouse-themed cafe. Step in the cafe and you will be wow-ed by the interior. It is almost like time has never passed in the space, a reminiscent how ship maintenance was done during the hay days. The interiors are done with a touch of wooden element; it's old but it feels like it has a lot of stories to tell. Gudang Cafe's menu is small but with a Japanese touch;

About We Bare Bears:
We Bare Bears is a BAFTA Award-winning series about three brothers trying to fit in and make friends...which can be kind of hard to do when you’re a bear in a big city. Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear are masters of the selfie, fans of the food truck, and chasers of internet fame. While fairly savvy about the modern world, they always seem to find their way in to wild adventures and hilarious trouble. Grizzly, the oldest bear, leads his younger brothers, Panda and Ice Bear, with endless optimism that tends to result in disaster. We Bare Bears is created by Annie Award-winner, Daniel Chong and produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
