A busy Friday starts with filming an unboxing for my other channel, teaching my class, and then making the 100 mile drive from Chicago to Freeport for work. It was a long day. But we did manage to fit in a trip to Harvest, a little diner in between Winnebago and Freeport, Illinois.

Severe storm Mendota IL 7 6 15
This storm weakened to below severe level as it reached my location about 6 miles nw of Mendota, IL. The storm had a noticeable area of rotation just behind the little ragged shelf...watch to the left of the street sign at the beginning, for a couple of little funnels, that dropped down and dissipate. i followed that area of the storm to a few miles east of I-39. Saw a couple of possible funnels and some whales mouth. Some of the scud looked very funnel like, and if it had been dark and lit by lightning, I would have been convinced there was a tornado developing.
