What To Do When Life Doesn't Go Your Way
Joshua Part 2: Detours - Greg Surratt - Seacoast Church
Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there. Joshua 2:1 (NIV)
The king of Jericho was told, “Look, some of the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.” So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.” But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. She said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they had come from. At dusk, when it was time to close the city gate, they left. I don’t know which way they went. Go after them quickly. You may catch up with them.” (But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax she had laid out on the roof.) So the men set out in pursuit of the spies on the road that leads to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as the pursuers had gone out, the gate was shut. Joshua 2:2–7 (NIV)
Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.” Joshua 2:8–11 (NIV)
Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that you will show kindness to my family, because I have shown kindness to you. Give me a sure sign that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them—and that you will save us from death. Joshua 2:12–13 (NIV)
WHAT I KNOW ABOUT DETOURS
1. SOMETIMES GOD CAUSES MY DETOURS
But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land. Exodus 23:29–30 (NIV)
• How do you know if God is involved in the detour?
1. You know that God’s hand is on you
2. You know you are doing right
2. SOMETIMES I CAUSE MY OWN DETOURS
But the men who had gone up with them said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” Numbers 13:31–33 (NIV)
3. SOMETIMES OTHERS CAUSE MY DETOURS
4. YOU CAN’T DETOUR OUT OF THE GRACE OF GOD
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. John 10:27–29 (NLT)
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33 (NLT)
• Two truths:
1. You will have problems
2. God is greater than the problems
We are hard pressed on all sides, we are never frustrated. We are puzzled, but never in despair. We are persecuted, but we never have to stand it alone. We may be knocked down, but we are never knocked out.
2 Corinthian 4:8–9 (Ph)
WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A DETOUR, REMEMBER...
1. BE FAITHFUL
So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Galatians 6:9–10 (MSG)
2. BE FORGIVING
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
3. BE JOYFUL
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (NIV)
Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Romans 12:11–12 (MSG)

Lyrics for Whale Belly
Lead the way, show me out
Give me a sign for something new somehow,
Or at least point me in the right direction
My train of thought is the kind of train out of town,
And when I caught up to it I saw no sign of slowing down
And to my surprise there's a coin on the track
It's forever the smallest things that create the most impact
Sometimes I just get ahead of myself, this I know,
From what I've learned, this I know, from what I've learned
Old habits learn new tricks, but deliver the same results
You don't let doubt add another notch on my belt
This isn't helping a thing at all
I've seen that look before, I know it all too well,
This is my cross to bear, this is my living hell
Hello repercussions, I know you all too well,
This is my cross to bear, I am a living hell
Lyrics for Pathfinder
i feel what's best for everyone is to forget about me when I'm gone
because it hurts to be missed and no one is deserving this
with my back to a hardwood floor
i understand that I'm not a provider but a center divider
i got lanes to explain the different ways i behave
a life thats a detour to where i am not sure
but if the sun is in my eyes i think i'm doing the right thing
i rely on exit signs, and destination times
and this drive that knows me better than i think i know myself
with that being said i wont play pretend
that I'm not growing up, that I'm not giving in
late nights and all night drives are reminders why i'm alive
and I'm not going anywhere

????Singapore Evening Walk - Little India during Diwali Festival - 4K 60 FPS - Slow TV
Diwali, Deepawali or Dipavali is the Hindu festival of lights, one of the most important festivals in Hindu culture. Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
As a work trip to Singapore happened to align with this big event, I decided to go for a walk in Singapore's Indian area, and capture the mood and festivities on the streets.
I'm already back in Tokyo, and will continue to post videos from Japan again from next week. I hope you enjoyed this little detour to Singapore though. Personally I really enjoyed the city, and hope to be back there again soon!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Living in a CAVE in Cappadocia!
Heard a lot about Cappadocia, but it was even more amazing in person. Such a unique and different city compared to Istanbul. We were there for just 2 days so tried to do all we could including:
1. Living in a CAVE
2. Red Tour around the city
3. Hot Air Baloon Watching early morning (Couldn't fly in it cause of the little guy)
4. Flying my DRONE!
If you're planning a trip to Turkey, definitely worth considering to detour to Cappadocia for a completely different experience.
Don't hesitate to ask me if you guys have any questions!
This is the final part from the Turkey travel vlogs - hope you guys enjoyed them!

Episod belajar cara kembara basikal - basikal touring
Day 2 - Couple Ride to Pak Bara 2019
An unplanned route provides unexpected findings..
It was a smooth ride after having our nice breakfast at Baan Suun Tongdin guesthouse at 8am. Jalanraya di Thailand berasaskan nombor, jadi senang nak follow dalam map. Route yg kami follow adalah 4184 (Wang Prachan), 406, (Khuan Don to Kuan Luan) 4137 (Khuan Kalong), 416, (Ban Huai), 3056 (La Ngu) , 4052 (La Nga to Pak Bara).
Ada beberapa tempat, kami detour untuk lalu route pedalaman/kampung. It was hubby's tips and tricks to explore other places than the main route when he do bicycle touring. He taught me how to use Google Maps especially when it was offline (no internet). As we cycle, we came across, I think, tempat latihan polis Siam, kot? Not far from there, kami jumpa turquoise colored lake/pool. Clear water.. Cantik sangat!! ???? We spent some time there to enjoy the view, also wondering, tempat ni tempat apa, ya? ????
After taking photos, we continued our journey yang berbukit bukau. I did very well, hubby Olak D' Hilir kata. Maybe because I was already familiar with the changing of gears, mental dah ready, stamina better after good food and good sleep, so the climbing was much2 better. A pat to my back! ????
It was too hot, so I requested to have a stopover for snacks and we came across a small stall by the roadside selling ABC and goreng pisang!! ???? We met a few locals and made friends with one of them who studied in Kelantan, so he can speak English.. Senang! ???? Thanks for the tips and hospitality San Faisan. ????
We continued our journey to Cikgu Joe Satun (Cjs Satun 406). He is quite well known among Malaysian travelling to Pak Bara. He recommended a place for us to stay in Pak Bara with a very good rate! Alhamdulillah.. Terima kasih Cikgu Joe.. ????
Kami teruskan kayuhan ke Bara Resort, mandi, solat dan keluar semula jalan kaki ke Pak Bara Viewpoint. Explore Pasar Malam and local food!! Syukur kebetulan kami sampai hari Ahad. Memang tak plan pun. Sometimes it's good that we leave everything to fate because if we plan too much and it didn't go as planned, we will be frustrated. I have learned so much these many years to live and love without expectation. Only then, you will enjoy the journey. Bak kata orang, 'hadap je lah..' ????
Total kayuhan semalam 69km. Until next update.. ????

Driving Around downtown Toronto, canada 4K video
Best time going to Toronto downtown is 11Am to 2 PM after & before these times is crazy busy and u would get stuck in traffic ????????????
Toronto is the most populous city in Canada,[12] the provincial capital of Ontario,[13] and the centre of the Greater Toronto Area, the most populous metropolitan area in Canada.[14] In the 2011 census, Toronto had a population of 2,615,060, making it the fifth largest city in North America.[6] A population estimate from a city report released in 2013 shows the city is now the fourth most populous city in North America, after Mexico City, New York City, and Los Angeles.[15][16] A global city,[17] Toronto is an international centre of business, finance, arts, and culture,[18][19] and is widely recognized as one of the most multicultural and cosmopolitan cities in the world.[20][21][22][23][24]
Aboriginal peoples have inhabited the area now known as Toronto for thousands of years.[25] The urban history of the city dates back to 1787, when British officials negotiated the Toronto Purchase with the Mississaugas of the New Credit.[26] They established the Town of York, and later designated it as the capital of Upper Canada.[27] During the War of 1812, the town was the site of the Battle of York and suffered heavy damage by U.S. troops.[28] York was renamed and incorporated as the City of Toronto in 1834, and became the capital of the province of Ontario in 1867.[29] The original borders of Toronto were expanded through amalgamation with surrounding municipalities at various times in its history, the results of which can be seen in the 140 independently unique and clearly defined official neighbourhoods that make up the city.[30]
Located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto is situated on a broad sloping plateau intersected by an extensive network of rivers, deep ravines, and urban forest.[31] It anchors the Golden Horseshoe, a densely populated region surrounding the western end of Lake Ontario that is home to 8.7 million people,[32] or around 26% of the entire population of Canada.[33] The demographics of Toronto make it one of the world's most diverse cities,[20][21] with about 50% of residents having been born in a country other than Canada,[34] and over 200 distinct ethnic origins represented among its inhabitants.[35] The vastly international population of the city reflects its current and historical role as an important destination for immigrants to Canada.[34][36] While English is the primary language spoken by the majority of Torontonians, there are over 160 different languages spoken in the city.[37]
Toronto is a prominent centre for music,[38] theatre,[39] motion picture production,[40] and television production,[41] and is home to the headquarters of Canada's major national broadcast networks and media outlets.[42] Its varied cultural institutions,[43] which include numerous museums and galleries, festivals and public events, entertainment districts, national historic sites, and sports activities,[44] are key attractions to the over 25 million tourists that visit the city each year.[45][46] Toronto is well known for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings,[47] in particular the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, the CN Tower.[48] As Canada's commercial capital, the city is home to the Toronto Stock Exchange, the headquarters of Canada's five largest banks,[49] and the headquarters of many large Canadian and multinational corporations.[50] Its economy is highly diversified with strengths in technology, design, financial services, life sciences, education, arts, fashion, business services, environmental innovation, food services, and tourism.
