Swift Current is also home to the Broncos, a junior hockey team in the Western Hockey League. Their home games are played at the newly expanded Credit Union iPlex, which underwent a $15 million renovation in 2007. The iPlex features new banquet facilities, a new six-sheet curling rink, and expanded public seating. The facility has already hosted some prominent events, and sees regular crowds all winter as hockey fans flock to the arena to watch the Broncos' action-packed games.
In the summer, sports lovers can enjoy Western Major League Baseball games at the ball diamonds behind the iPlex. The Swift Current Indians offer a great opportunity to cheer on the home team while enjoying an afternoon in the sun.
Arts and Culture is alive and well in Swift Current from art galleries, museums, to heritage sites, there is always something to see. The Swift Current Museum and Art Gallery of Swift Current host a number of interesting exhibitions each year. The gallery is also home to the Blenders music series, which offers live music for one weekend every month, from September to May. Swift Current also offers cultural events on a larger scale, drawing audiences from across North America.

SIGA Casinos | Why haven't I been able to get hired | Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority
Hello Everyone and welcome back to the channel !
Today I’m talking about my application to SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority). Specifically, Gaming Manager at Living Sky Casino in Swift Current.
I have found it very difficult to regain employment with SIGA since my Termination from Bear Claw Casino & Hotel located north of Carlyle SK. Bear Claw Casino was my home for over 9 years and was planning on retiring with the Bear Claw Casino. However; That plan didn't end the way I wanted it to. Will there ever be forgiveness from the good ol Bear Claw Casino and Hotel after my termination
This was due to a combination of somethings that were “My Bad” and other things that I was accused of that I highly disagreed with. I ended up saying a few things on Facebook and ended up with my Termination.
The biggest reason that I believe that I have not been able to gain employment with SIGA is due to one individual in SIGA and is a Regional General Manager for essentially half of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority.
I said what I needed to say at the time and the experience has helped me grow in the end with new life lessons and challenges.
I have applied to multiple SIGA Casinos at Painted Hand in Yorkton, Gold Horse Casino in Lloydminster, and of course Living Sky Casino in Swift Current.
SIGA operates 7 properties in Saskatchewan (Bear Claw Casino, Living Sky Casino, Dakota Dunes Casino, Painted Hand Casino, Gold Eagle Casino, Gold Horse Casino and Northern Lights Casino)
SIGA is a really good company to work for as a 100% non-profit organization with revenues going back to the Communities that they’re in, as well as all the first nations Communities in Saskatchewan. (They don’t make reserves rich like in the states)
SIGA prides its self on diversity and like I said before, a wonderful place to work for. Especially if you’re of First Nations decent, They will hire the best people for the jobs that are open, despite having a mandate to have a certain percentage in First Nations Employees.
