Llama Path Christmas 2017, Poroy, Cusco.
Over 350 toys were delivered by Llama Path to the poor children of Poroy in Cusco, Peru. Children who attended to our education and reading project held at the porters house received bigger toys!
It is common for poor children to get in endless lines in order to recieve toys, Llama Path has in the Christmas 2016 made an effort to not let them do any lines and we hope by December 2017 they will be served even better with the help of our office staff and also amazing help of our Inca Trail Porters !!

The Inca trail is an opportunity to step back in time, there you will find lots of Inca ruins (big and small ones) behind each one of those Inca sites there is legend, myth and history hidden; if you are one of the daily 250 lucky hikers to do it we recommend to rise and open up your mind, your spirit, your soul and your hearts. Best Experience Ever!
I cannot say enough good things about Llama Path! My friends and I did the private 4 day/3 night Inca Trail trek and had the most amazing time. We loved our guides, JJ and Walter! They were both funny, encouraging, kind, and very knowledgeable. We saw so many amazing sites and learned the history behind all of them thanks to JJ, who is clearly passionate about his country’s heritage. The guides made sure everything went smoothly and ensured we got the best photo ops - including feeding some llamas we encountered! They were also very accommodating and did whatever they could to make sure our experience was everything we wanted it to be.
Our chef was Carmelo, and he made some of the best food I’ve ever had. The meals were definitely a highlight of the trek. I still don’t understand how they were able to transport and cook so much delicious food! They even baked a chocolate cake on our last night!
I was so impressed with the porters. They work so hard and really are the backbone of the whole operation. One reason my group chose Llama Path is because we heard they treat their porters better than other tour companies, and that proved to be true! The porters helped provide some comforts along the trail, such as a bowl of warm water outside our tents every morning and evening to wash our faces and hands, which was a nice touch! This was my first camping experience, and the porters helped make it a positive one!
My group also did the Sacred Valley tour the day before the trek, which was great. Our guide, William, was very passionate and a lot of fun. We visited several Incan sites and even went to an alpaca farm!
I would definitely recommend Llama Path to anyone traveling to Peru. The whole experience truly exceeded my expectations, and I will treasure the memories I made on this trip forever!

We got to feed Alpaca and Llama's in Cusco Peru

We're back from Peru and a bucket-list journey to Machu Picchu. With hours of video to sort through, edit and post, we wanted to start with a trip to Manos de la Comunidad, which is a local textile company in Cusco.
They raise their own Llama's and Alpaca for the wool and then sell high quality sweaters, blankets, gloves, scarfs and other items made of alpaca and baby alpaca. BUT, when visiting the site, you can get up close and personal with the Alpaca and Llama's, feeding them for free.
This is really fun and a must do in Cusco because this may be the closest you get to actual Alpaca's and interact with them.

Inka Trail Trek to Machu Picchu Llama Path March 2016
We booked this trip through Llama Path in March 2016. It was 4 days of trekking through amazing Inka ruins, original Inka trails, fabulous food and awesome new friends. We would highly recommend booking through this company because of their ethical treatment of porters, delicious food and responsible, knowledgeable guides. TwoGirlsTrippin.com

Slide Show- Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with Llama Path Peru in 2012
A 5-day, 72km hike to Machu Picchu. Not the Inca Trail but just as, if not more, scenic and much more challenging in terms of total mileage and elevation. Salkantay Pass is the highest point at 4600 metres. The trek was done through Llama Path Peru and was very well done from start to finish. Good food, great guides and porters.
