Llandudno is a seaside resort, town and community in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located on the Creuddyn peninsula, which protrudes into the Irish Sea. Llandudno name is derived from its patron saint, Saint Tudno.
Llandudno, Queen of the Welsh Resorts, a title first applied as early as 1864, Llandudno is now the largest seaside resort in Wales. Historically a part of Caernarfonshire, Llandudno was formerly in the district of Aberconwy within Gwynedd.
Llandudno is just off the North Wales Coast railway line which was opened as the Chester and Holyhead Railway in 1848. It became part of the London and North Western Railway in 1859, and part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway in 1923. Llandudno was specifically built as a mid-Victorian era holiday destination and is served by a branch railway line opened in 1858 from Llandudno Junction with stations at Deganwy and Llandudno.
Llandudno is unique within the United Kingdom in that its lifeboat station is located inland, allowing it to launch with equal facility from either the West Shore or the North Shore as needed. Llandudno's active volunteer crews are called out more than ever with the rapidly increasing numbers of small pleasure craft sailing in coastal waters. The Llandudno Lifeboat is normally on display on the promenade every Sunday and bank holiday Monday from May until October. In 2014 a planning application was submitted for a new Lifeboat station, with a larger boat, to be built close to the paddling pool on North Shore.

New Llandudno Lifeboat
The New Shannon Class Llandudno Lifeboat William F Yates arrives escorted by the retiring Mersey class boat and the inshore lifeboat on Sunday 24th September 2017 after a 400 mile voyage around the west coast of Britain from the RNLI base at Poole in Dorset. The £2.2M boat is expected to have a lifetime of 25 years with the hull capable of being refitted and serving another 25 years after that. Teamed with the new launch and recovery system and lifeboat station on the beach at Craig-y-Don saving a trip through the streets of Llandudno, this boat is a potent new lifesaving force on the North Wales coast and the first deployment of the water jet powered Shannon class in Wales

A day in Llandudno Wales | Smallest House in Britain
#Wales #NorthWales #Llandudno #Conwy
In this video, I will take you to North Wales, Llandudno, and Conwy, where I visited the Smallest House in Britain.
Llandudno is a beautiful Welsh seaside town full of activities such as The Great Orme Tramway, Cable Cars, Boat Tours, Fairs and many, many more!
When I visited, Llandudno was very busy because of the fair and Old Steam Trains Exhibition taking place right in the city centre.
After strolling around, I took a bus to Conwy and spent there a chilled afternoon visiting the Castle and the Smallest house in Britain. It was built back in the 16th Century, and it was occupied until 1900. The tallest man who lived there was 191cm tall, and I have no idea how he could fit there!
If you liked my video, feel free to subscribe for more - the biggest adventure is yet to come - 24th of June I am flying to Malaysia and Indonesia!
