On our Bohol tour, after visiting the Chocolate Hills viewpoint, we went to see some of the cutest tarsier monkeys at the Tarsier Sanctuary. We then had some lunch while cruising around Loboc River, one of the most beautiful rivers I've seen so far.

LOAY Versus LOBOC RIVER Cruise and Floating Restaurant Bohol Philippines
Update: on April 1, 2019 Loboc increased their price to PhP650 per head.
There are 2 different operators for the river cruise and floating restaurants in Bohol Philippines. First one is located in Loay, the Rio Verde Floating Restaurant and the second one is in Loboc. Both are cruising in the same river which flows from the town of Loboc going to Loay. This video is showing a comparison between the 2 providers.
Loboc River (Bohol Philippines)
The Loboc River (also called Loay River) is a river in the Bohol province of the Philippines. It is one of the major tourist destinations of Bohol.
The source of the Loboc River is located in the town of Carmen, almost in the center of Bohol. From Carmen, the river takes a westerly course for a distance of about 1.5 kilometres (1 mi) then flows due south into the Mindanao or Bohol Sea. Its drainage area of approximately, 520 square kilometres (200 sq mi), is bordered by a horseshoe-shaped chain of mountain peaks rising to an elevation of 800 metres (2,600 ft). Rainfall is distributed almost uniformly throughout the year, thus Loboc River has a steady and high base flow.
A river cruise on a floating restaurant is the main activity that the Loboc River offers, attracting both local and foreign tourists.[3] The river cruises start in the Town of Loboc and travel upstream to the Busay Falls. Because of its clean, green and peaceful river environment along with the local food served, the place is now widely known across the country.

Loboc River Cruise and Floating Restaurant Bohol Philippines 2019
Loboc Bohol is home of the famous Loboc Children’s Choir, Loboc is a peaceful municipality that is world famous to its well-known river which is aptly called Loboc River. This river is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. This is the one tourist spot you don’t want to miss during your Bohol Tours.
The Loboc River Dinner Cruise starts by the Loay Bridge which is located in the neighboring town of Loay or at the Loboc town proper where you can choose from a variety of river cruising vessels. The Loboc River cruise usually runs for an hour or so back and forth. Make sure you add this tour to your itinerary when visiting Bohol, its something you won’t want to miss.
Get on board a floating restaurant and enjoy the Loboc River cruise with a buffet meal.
The cruise and buffet costs P550.00 per person and this includes a short cultural show by the local community. Buses and jeepneys are available at the Tagbilaran City Dao Integrated Bus Terminal.
It takes approximately one hour by public transportation from Tagbilaran city, and around 40 minutes travel by private transportation such as a van or v-hire. Loboc town is located approximately 24 kilometers from Tagbilaran City.
