Cotswolds, England: Village Charm
More info about travel to the Cotswolds: As with many fairy-tale regions in Europe, the present-day beauty of England's Cotswolds was the result of an economic disaster — in this case, the collapse of the wool industry. The fine Cotswold towns fell into a time warp, creating a rustic charm that is the basis of today's new prosperity from tourism.

Padborg, the Danish city a few kilometers away from Germany
Padborg is a Danish town located on the border with Germany. Located a few kilometres northwest of Schleswig's historic commercial centre, Flensburg, Padborg was a small settlement when the region returned to Danish rule in 1920 following a plebiscite, but grew rapidly in size after the establishment of the current border. It is a transport centre and railway town. When the border was established in 1920, the originally planned border line was moved c. 200 metres south of Padborg in order to allow construction of the railway station and a customs office. Padborg is well known in Denmark for its motorsport ring, Padborg Park, and the head offices of the large discount chain Fleggaard. Padborg has a broad based transport industry with most of the largest European transport companies having local offices. (source: wikipedia)

Norwegian Campaign
The Norwegian Campaign was a Second World War campaign fought in Norway between the Allies and Germany after the latter's invasion of the country. In April, the United Kingdom and France came to Norway's aid with an expeditionary force. Despite moderate success in the northern parts of Norway, Germany's invasion of France in May eventually compelled the Allies to withdraw and the Norwegian government to seek exile in London. The campaign ended with the occupation of Norway by Germany, and the continued fighting of exiled Norwegian forces from abroad. The 62 days of fighting made Norway the nation that withstood a German invasion for the second longest period of time, after the Soviet Union.

Barnetoget 2017 (National Day Parade) ❤ Norway/Norge ???????? 17th of May 2017 ???? Chaskora Darvesh
Please watch: Christmas in Norway Punjabi Style - Mansoor Elahi Vlogs
--~--
May 17 is Norway's National Day. The day is celebrated because Norway got its own constitution on 17th of May 1814. The day is also called The Constitution Day. May 17 is the official holiday & Flag Day in Norway, celebrated with barnetog (Children Parade).
A noteworthy aspect of the Norwegian Constitution Day is its very non-military nature. All over Norway, children's parades with an abundance of flags form the central elements of the celebration. Each elementary school district arranges its own parade with marching bands. The parade takes the children through the community, often making stops at homes of senior citizens, war memorials, etc. The longest parade is in Oslo, where some 100,000 people travel to the city centre to participate in the main festivities. This is broadcast on TV every year, with comments on costumes, banners, etc., together with local reports from celebrations around the country. The massive Oslo parade includes more some 120 schools, marching bands, and passes the royal palace where the royal family greet the people from the main balcony.
The idea of Children parade was conceived by school director P. Qvam, who also organized the first parade of students from his school in 1869.

SUMMARY
=======
The Norwegian Campaign was the attempted Allied liberation of the Scandinavian nation of Norway from Nazi Germany during the early stages of World War II and directly following the Nazi's invasion and occupation of the Norwegian mainland and government. It took place from April 9th, 1940 until June 10th the same year. The Allied campaign did not succeed, and it resulted in the fleeing of King Haakon VII along with the remainder of the royal family to Great Britain.
In April, the United Kingdom and France came to Norway's aid with an expeditionary force. Despite moderate success in the northern parts of Norway, the Allies were eventually compelled to withdraw by Germany's invasion of France in May, and the Norwegian government sought exile in London. The campaign ended with the occupation of Norway by Germany, and the continued fighting by exiled Norwegian forces from abroad. The 62 days of fighting made Norway the nation that withstood a German land invasion for the second longest period of time, after the Soviet Union.

SUMMARY
=======
Operation Weserübung (German: Unternehmen Weserübung [ˈveːsɐˌʔyːbʊŋ]) was the code name for Germany's assault on Denmark and Norway during the Second World War and the opening operation of the Norwegian Campaign. The name comes from the German for Operation Weser-Exercise, the Weser being a German river.
In the early morning of 9 April 1940 (Wesertag, Weser Day), Germany invaded Denmark and Norway, ostensibly as a preventive manoeuvre against a planned, and openly discussed, Franco-British occupation of Norway known as Plan R 4. After the invasions, envoys of the Germans informed the governments of Denmark and Norway that the Wehrmacht had come to protect the countries' neutrality against Franco-British aggression. Significant differences in geography, location and climate between the two nations made the actual military operations very dissimilar.
The invasion fleet's nominal landing time, Weserzeit (Weser Time), was set to 05:15.

SUMMARY
=======
A tumulus (plural tumuli) is a mound of earth and stones raised over a grave or graves. Tumuli are also known as barrows, burial mounds or kurgans, and may be found throughout much of the world. A cairn, which is a mound of stones built for various purposes, may also originally have been a tumulus.
Tumuli are often categorised according to their external apparent shape. In this respect, a long barrow is a long tumulus, usually constructed on top of several burials, such as passage graves. A round barrow is a round tumulus, also commonly constructed on top of burials. The internal structure and architecture of both long and round barrows has a broad range; the categorization only refers to the external apparent shape.
The method of inhumation may involve a dolmen, a cist, a mortuary enclosure, a mortuary house, or a chamber tomb. Examples of barrows include Duggleby Howe and Maeshowe.
The word tumulus is Latin for 'mound' or 'small hill', which is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *teuh2- with extended zero grade *tum-, 'to bulge, swell' also found in tomb, tumor, tumescent, thumb, thigh, and thousand.
Western Maine Cash Mob - Downtown Norway, Maine
The very first Cash Mob in Western Maine was a huge success! It was Maine's largest Cash Mob to date! Residents of Norway, South Paris and all of Oxford Hills descended upon Books N Things and Ari's Pizza & Subs in support of the local community. W.J. Wheeler Insurance and the Oxford Federal Credit Union sponsored this event. For more information on this and upcoming Cash Mobs visit westernmainecashmob.com
The elevator got stuck! 1986 Thorvald Sætre traction elevators with unrealiable modern controllers
A routine safety-stop test causes the right elevator to get stuck below the top floor during repositioning. I managed to escape myself by opening the door lock manually as it was within reach from inside the elevator car. After that i rode the left elevator normally without any safety-stop tests as i just couldn't take the risk of both elevators to get stuck. This little hospital only has these two elevators.
Don't ever do cheap modernizations on old elevators - this sort of unreliability is what you will get.
These elevators are located at Horten Legevakt (on-duty doctors). It's not really a hospital, more like a little local medical centre.
The floor plan at 06:50 in the video shows a third elevator in the upper right corner - a small passenger elevator. I searched for it but found nothing. I think it has been removed many years ago.

My 2nd Visit The Heritage And Life in the Village
Life in the village great experience . Thish video in Hindi or Urdu
Gives a good overview of how much Dubai has changed and what the local culture is underpinned by historically For me the most interesting thing was the photographic exhitbitions showing Dubai pre 1965 as a pearl fishing trading post. Well worth a visit
Before skyscrapers spread across the horizon, Dubai was made up of fishing villages and Bedouin communities populated by potters, weavers and pearl divers. When you're ready for a break from the modern world, step into the past by visiting the Heritage and Diving Village, located in Shindagha on the Bur Dubai side of the historic Dubai Creek.
This reconstructed village features distinctive palm-and-mud houses and barasti huts where you can watch potters and jewellers practise their craft and sample local cuisine.
