Small Pike Shows Interest in my Fly at Loch Brandy (Angus)
A fun trip trip up to Loch Brandy in the Angus Glens.
A 45 minute to an hour walk up from the Glen Clova Hotel (not for the unfit) finds you at this little loch nestled in the corrie.
We had a full day fishing for brown trout and caught 18 between the pair of us, with the largest coming in at just over a pound, but the average being 1/4 to 1/2 a pound. Hard fighting little brownies fell to a variety of patterns, but the bulk of them fell to Bibio, Black Hopper and a Snipe and Purple.
Loch Brandy is free to fish and is certainly worth the walk.

Wild Camping UK Scotland Angus Glens Scottish Highlands Glenn doll Cairngorms Hiking Corrie Fee
Another Wild camping adventure in new found land for myself.
Scottish wanderer, scotswildcamper and I head in to the wilderness of the Angus Glens in the Scottish Highlands, Scotland. In the Eastern area of the National Cairngorms Park, near the Balmoral estate of the British Royal Family. I can see why its a favourite spot of the Queen's.
A beautiful area with vast wilderness and very rich with nature and all kinds of wildlife. On the first day we head in to the forest and pitch our tents near the river. I am more in the woods as it was quieter and more flat on the ground.
We go a night time hike before getting cosey in our tents. The next day we have our traditional Scottish breakfast by the water using our gas stoves and camping gear. Then we head off on a good hike. Hiking up to a spectacular view of Corrie Fee. The weather wasn't great but it was still great seeing new places in Scotland.
Their was also a special moment when scottish wanderer introduced me to the famous SPAM. Cooked spam to be exact. It was ok, but i wont be in a rush to buy it lol

.Canine Freestyle, sometimes known as Heelwork To Music, is a sport for those who love dogs and music. The dog and handler team choreograph their performances to a variety of music, illustrating their training and joyful relationship. Watch for the dog moving to the beat of the music, you will see graceful and intricate manoeuvres performed with precision and artistry. Every movement is accomplished through the subtle use of verbal cues and body language.
Freestyle is also an excellent discipline to illustrate the conformation and movement of the dog. The reach, drive and beauty of an athletic, trained dog moving to music can take one's breath away.

HOW TO SHOOT SPEED IN GLEN CLOVA ANGUS SCOTLAND
There are no towns or villages in the Angus Glens within the Cairngorms National Park but there are small communities scattered across the glens. Glen Clova is the best known of the glens, and an excellent place for walking and wildlife. Towards the top of the glen, Glen Doll branches on to the west, right into the heart of the mountains and the Corrie Fee National Nature Reserve. The Angus Glens Ranger Service have a Ranger Base in Glen Doll which is open to the public. Quiet Glen Prosen is good for walks and wildlife, look out for the cairn dedicated to Wilson and Scott, the Antarctic explorers. Wilson lived in Glen Prosen, and it was here that Captain Scott planned his polar expedition.
