Loch Eck to Loch Fyne
A bit of on my journey on the way to the Isle Skye last year. I did not get much footage as it rained most of the time! but when it's nice it's really, really nice.
I start at the beginning of loch Eck heading north the roads where a mix of wet and dry mainly damp with little spray! the down pours came later :-D

Small Pike Shows Interest in my Fly at Loch Brandy (Angus)
A fun trip trip up to Loch Brandy in the Angus Glens.
A 45 minute to an hour walk up from the Glen Clova Hotel (not for the unfit) finds you at this little loch nestled in the corrie.
We had a full day fishing for brown trout and caught 18 between the pair of us, with the largest coming in at just over a pound, but the average being 1/4 to 1/2 a pound. Hard fighting little brownies fell to a variety of patterns, but the bulk of them fell to Bibio, Black Hopper and a Snipe and Purple.
Loch Brandy is free to fish and is certainly worth the walk.
A week ON THE ROAD with four people in our TINY HOME | Van Life in Scotland ep. 8
As mentioned in our latest vlog, we are now traveling with 4 people and 1 cat in our campervan. Leon´s sister and niece visited us for a week, and we have been showing them around bonnie Scotland. Please join the adventure!
In the vlog we visit Oban on the west coast of Scotland, we went river rafting with Splash White River Rafting in Aberfeldy.
Furthermore, we´ve travelled along Loch Tay (Kenmore) and Killin with the falls of Dochart. The last couple of months have been very dry, so as you can see in the video the falls basically turned into a little stream, rather than the roaring falls that they usually are.
We also found a beautiful wildparking spot in Inveraray.
On the way back to Glasgow, we passed Loch Eck, a stunning loch just outside of Dunoon. Definately worth a visit or stop to have lunch on the banks of the loch.
If you like what you see, please subscribe to our channel and join our adventure!
Lots of Love, Leon and Miek

Old Photographs Of Whistlefield Argyll And Bute Scotland
Tour Scotland wee video of old photographs of Whistlefield, a hamlet on the east shore of Loch Eck on the Cowal Peninsula, Argyll and Bute. It is home to the Whistlefield Inn, which was established in 1663, though it has now closed. The hamlet is within the Argyll Forest Park which, is itself part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Whistlefield, later Whistlefield Halt, was a minor railway station on the West Highland Line 10 miles from Craigendoran Junction railway station near the hamlet of Portincaple on Loch Long, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Opened in 1896 by the West Highland Railway, it was built on a single track section without a passing loop in between Garelochhead and Glen Douglas and closed by the British Railways Board in 1964.

Bushcraft Hike with Poncho Shelter | 25 Mile Hike | Two Night Bushcraft Camping Trip
Myself and my mate Pete went for a circular 25 mile hike around the Loch Eck Loop in Scotland, a 22 mile hike that follows the coast and forestry tracks - although we made it a 25 mile hike by following the wrong road for a couple of hours.
We wild camped for two nights, had a fire and ate some great food.
We slept under the half polish lavvu/poncho shelters and perhaps should have gone for more lightweight gear, but we didn't foresee how steep and rough the track would be. Maybe next time.
The first day we started quite late around 5pm so only had about 3 hours of light left, and covered about 4 miles following the coastline of the loch.
The second day we started off early and covered about 19 miles of challenging terrain.
The roads were of a gradual ascent and steep declines, so we would be hiking (hobbling?) uphill for 2 miles at a time then suddenly drop down and go back on ourselves. Knees were struggling.
We finish the remaining 2 miles the following morning - the battery died on the camera on the last camp as I accidentally left it running, but we were pretty much done at that point anyway.
You can see we drink straight from the springs coming down the mountains; obviously there is a risk to this but we could see fairly clearly the path of the rivers, and in any case that is our risk to take. We were fine and the water was crystal clear and was the freshest water I've had in a long time.
This video is perhaps slightly different from my usual, but is just more of a diary entry to look back on, but hopefully you enjoy it.
