Loch Ness Monster?
Nessie appearing in Drumnadrochit in 2013
Old Photographs Drumnadrochit Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland wee video of old photographs of Drumnadrochit, Scottish Gaelic, Druim na Drochaid, a village in the Highlands located on the west shore of Loch Ness, at the foot of Glen Urquhart. The village lies on the A82 road, near a junction with the A831, adjoining the villages of Milton to the West and Lewiston to the South. Drumnadrochit lies at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the focal point for interest in the Loch Ness Monster. Drumnadrochit is on the route of the Great Glen Way, the 73 mile long distance path from Fort William to Inverness. John Rhodes Cobb was born in Esher, Surrey in 1899. Not content with holding the Land Speed Record, Cobb turned his attention to water. Cobb made his record attempt on 29 September 1952 over a measured mile from Urquhart Castle. According to the generally accepted rules of the time for speed records, two runs were required. On the first run, his jet propelled boat Crusader travelled at 206.89mph, making Cobb the first man in history to reach 200mph. Tragedy struck on the second run, however, when Crusader hit a boat wake that should not have been there and nosedived suddenly into the depths of the loch, killing Cobb instantly.

Glen Shiel, Eilean Donan, Urquhart, and Nessie Hunting
Sorry for the choppiness, but we were getting worn down towards the end of the trip. Glen Shiel stole Daniel's heart and we look forward to returning one day to explore more of it. Eilean Donan was a little modernized inside whereas Urquhart was a ruin (my personal favorites). Also, this was our last ditch effort to find Nessie. Look closely in our pictures. Maybe you'll be able to spot something.

The Loch Ness Centre, Exhibition & Boat Cruise ~ 13th July 2017
On Thursday 13th July 2017, whilst staying near Glencoe, south of Fort William, I drove to Drumnadrochit, on the western shores of Loch Ness. You can't say that you've truly being in Scotland unless you've visited Loch Ness, home of the infamous legend of a monster that lurks in the depths.
As I couldn't take photography inside the exhibition itself, majority of my pictures are outside the building centre where a boat and submarine are on display.
The boat cruise on Loch Ness is a separate payment from the centre and exhibition, with transportation via mini-bus to the boat only three minutes away, and is roughly an hour long.
NOTE: I conclude this video with my depiction of the Loch Ness Monster, with apologises to Carol Kirkwood. :)
Loch Ness caught on Video
Ogopogo is trending after a man claims to have caught Canada's version of the Loch Ness Monster on video. Richard Huls says he saw Ogopogo swimming through Lake Okanagan in British Columbia.
Recent overwhelming evidence has re-ignited the world's passion for this magical Water Horse and this recent video from Loch Ness corroborates the footage shot May 26th 2007. Release Date:.

Once again the Loch Ness monster has been sighted this time as an after-image taken hastily by some tourists who swear they were too stunned to photograph the creature in it

Winter Road Trip Drive East On A831 To Drumnadrochit Highlands Of Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of part of a Winter drive East, with Scottish music, on the A831 road to visit Drumnadrochit in the Highlands Of Scotland. Drumnadrochit, Scottish Gaelic, Druim na Drochaid, meaning the Ridge of the Bridge, is a village located on the West Shore of Loch Ness, at the foot of Glen Urquhart.
Urquhart Castle, Scotland
version française ci-dessous.
Urquhart Castle sits beside Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. The present ruins date from the 13th to the 16th centuries, though built on the site of an early medieval fortification. Founded in the 13th century, Urquhart played a role in the Wars of Scottish Independence in the 14th century. It was subsequently held as a royal castle, and was raided on several occasions by the MacDonald Earls of Ross. The castle was granted to the Clan Grant in 1509, though conflict with the MacDonalds continued. Despite a series of further raids the castle was strengthened, only to be largely abandoned by the middle of the 17th century. Urquhart was partially destroyed in 1692 to prevent its use by Jacobite forces, and subsequently decayed. In the 20th century it was placed in state care and opened to the public: it is now one of the most-visited castles in Scotland
