Graupner Cherry II - Lochaline Net Station June 2013
This five minute video clip was taken from a small camera mounted underneath the port wing of my 2-meter wingspan electric-powered radio-control glider. It was our last day at the village after a week's diving at the Lochaline Dive Centre and I'd flown the glider from Lochaline beach the Sunday earlier.
The Net Station is on the Ardtornish Estate on the south bank of Loch Aline. There is a rough lane which runs along the bank of the Loch with views across to the other side. Several craft were on moorings sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds. The Net Station is a large establishment where fish-farm nets are repaired and cleaned after service at sea,
I chose a quiet spot to launch and land the model opposite the ferry terminal at Lochaline on the northern bank of the Loch which flows into the Sound of Mull. The only onlookers wre grazing sheep in a field south of the track.
It was another warm sunny afternoon in mid June with a gently north westerly breeze. The model flew well and I'd been given permission to fly here by the estate's sheperd.
Flight time was about twelve minutes. I've edited out the 'power-on' climbs so only gliding footage is shown. The model reached a maximum height of around 800 ft.

North East Dive May 16 Kinlochbervie Trip
A short video of North East Dive's May Trip to Kinlochbervie. We enjoyed great vis and some super sightings. Highlights were Whaleback rock, a stunning wall covered in deadmens fingers & jewel anemone's, you could see the top from 30m. Then Ministers point is an unusual dive, a narrow gulley which you can sqeeze down to a small cave at the end. A fabulous dive on Handa Island, covered in dead mens fingers, lots of gulleys, finished off with a large Skate at the end of the dive. Looking forward to returning for a week in September & October.

A fish called MacBride
Having a laugh in the Lochaline Hotel bar. Gordon sings us a lovely little ditty. Apologies for the maniacal laughing, I was a bit drunk.
Diving McKinley's Wall, Loch Etive
A dive on the vertical McKinley's Wall, inner Loch Etive, western Scotland. This site is popular with anglers - and their discarded rubbish and line cover the wall. Thankyou to Mark for taking us back to this iconic deep site.
