Exploring Telegraph Creek at Franklin Lock
We end up staying about a week at the first lock on the Caloosahatchee River, tied to a set of pilings called dolphins, at the Franklin Lock. Once the rainy weather clears we decide to go on an exploration by dinghy. We saw on Google Maps there was a creek called Telegraph Creek, that goes a couple miles in a very secluded area. Now that we are in mainly fresh water, we are trying to find an alligator! The views were amazing! Once we get back to the boat it's time for more boat chores like attending to our rigging, steering, and compass issues. Thanks for watching! Subscribe if you'd like
Last Drone Footage of W P Franklin Lock & Dam, Alva, Florida
It was a beautiful afternoon, on my wedding anniversary day yesterday. My wife and I had lunch at the W P Franklin Lock & Dam area in Alva, Florida. After lunch, I flew my drone to take this drone footage. Soon I was informed by a park official that drone flights are not allowed in this area anymore for security reasons. But he very kindly allowed me to finish taking this last video footage of this beautiful area!

.22 with the only adjustment being the rear sight for elevation. Probably could have been brought down another notch, but good enough for a raccoon at this distance. I saw that I misspelled raccoon in the video, but it takes too long to edit & recompile the entire thing for one spelling error.

Position Report June 5, 2015 - to Franklin lock
After a good time in Fort Myers, and the official start of hurricane season, it was time to start our trip up the Okeechobee water way. The river was a nice change from the ICW and an interesting place. We passed through a few more bridges, and our first lock to go from saltwater to freshwater.
