2017 04 - Logipi Ride Day 5: Tuum to Loiyangalani
Leaving Tuum was fantastic. Fast and winding, hilly and scenic. The XRs ate it up. Arriving in Loiyangalani hot and thirsty, we were not pleased to find an empty pool at the Oasis Hotel which hasn't improved in 20 years despite its prime location. Malabo here we come!

North Kenya Expedition Part 2 - Encountering the El Molo on the Jade Sea | 2016
Having navigated our way out of some pretty tight situations, we finally find our way to Loiyangalani which means A place of many trees. It did not have many trees! Not knowing what to expect and exhausted after the long drive, we go exploring the next day and find a hot water pool created from natural spring water, a desert museum, an almost extinct tribe of people called the El Molo who live off the great lake (there are only 300 of them left), a man who used to transport butterflies that are endemic to Mount Kulal all the way to Belgium and we also find a school in much need of assistance.
