Lombok Indonesia Travel Guide During Low Season (Mataram, Rinjani, Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan)
Lombok is awesome! They say it is the new Bali. I am not really sure what to think about it, but what I can tell you: visit Lombok for sure! The food is awesome, the people are super open and friendly, the beaches are beautiful and the surf is the sh*t. So how to travel Lombok and what to do on Lombok? I will give you some answers in this video about Lombok/Indonesia!
Accommodation:
Ibludan Hotel (one of the greatest places we ever stayed at):
- between Mataram and Senggigi Beach!
- also, Kuta is supposed to be awesome! Check out Kuta and stay here for a while. It is a town of surfers and lost Australians.
What to see on Lombok?
- Hike on the Gunung Rinjani: check the time schedules as hikes are not allowed between November and March
- Kuta: Bali many years ago
- Beaches: Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan
- Eastern Lombok: pink beach and magic island
- South-West: more Gili islands
-Visit Mataram (the capital of Lombok)
- Ogoh-Ogoh festival: an awesome experience where they build huge demons and burn them during the night
How to get around?
- when you fly to Lombok, take the DAMRI buses from the airport to the place you want to go. The buses are cheap and easy to take.
- to get around on Lombok you can take the Bluebird taxis (best option), Bemo (public buses) or private drivers.
- other apps to get around (like UBER): Grab and GoCar

Info Mengenai Pulau Lombok di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat - Indonesia
Pulau Lombok (jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2001: 2.722.123 jiwa)adalah sebuah pulau di kepulauan Sunda Kecil atau Nusa Tenggara yang terpisahkan oleh Selat Lombok dari Bali di sebelat barat dan Selat Alas di sebelah timur dari Sumbawa. Pulau ini kurang lebih berbentuk bulat dengan semacam ekor di sisi barat daya yang panjangnya kurang lebih 70 km. Luas pulau ini mencapai 5.435 km², menempatkannya pada peringkat 108 dari daftar pulau berdasarkan luasnya di dunia. Kota utama di pulau ini adalah Kota Mataram.
Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. khususnya Kabupaten Lombok Utara yang akan dicanangkan sebagai destinasi wisata dunia yang diharapkan akan mampu untuk menarik lebih banyak kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara (wisman).
“Lombok Utara sebagai jalur pintu masuk utama NTB dicanangkan sebagai destinasi wisata dunia tepat pada HUT ke-8 Lombok Utara,” Lombok Utara memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai wisata alam dan budaya yang sangat unik mulai dari destinasi wisata Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, dan Gili Meno, Gunung Rinjani, hingga Danau Segara Anak.
Selain objek wisata di atas, banyak keunikan yang terletak di Lombok Utara yang tidak ditemukan di bagian dunia manapun sehingga layak mendorong Lombok Utara sebagai destinasi wisata dunia. Salah satunya destinasi wisata Pantai Tebing, Dusun Luk, Desa Sambi Bangkol, Kecamatan Gangga, Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Tebing pasir itu adalah ‘monumen’ letusan dahsyat Gunung Rinjani Tua atau sejarah tahun 1257.
“terdapat namanya karang biru yang merupakan karunia luar biasa bagi Kabupaten Lombok Utara, karena menurut riset yang pernah dilakukan, ‘blue coral’ hanya ada dua di dunia yakni di Karibia dan Lombok Utara. Ada air tawar di tengah laut juga ada di Lombok Utara.
Dari sisi wisata sejarahnya, di Lombok Utara juga terdapat wisata jejak peninggalan Jepang yakni Goa Jepang di Trawangan. Kabupaten Lombok Utara sekaligus wilayah dengan tingkat toleransi yang tinggi sosial budayanya. “Polda NTB menyampaikan penghargaan Lombok Utara sebagai kabupaten dengan angka kriminalitas terendah,” katanya. Hal itulah yang akan menjadi modal yang baik bagi sektor pariwisata wilayah tersebut yang ditunjang dengan semakin banyaknya event seni dan budaya yang digelar di Lombok Utara.
Pihaknya mencatat bahwa saat ini angka kunjungan wisatawan ke Lombok Utara mencapai 2.600 orang perhari atau naik 100 persen dibandingkan pada 2014. Wisatawan yang mengunjungi air terjun Sendang Gile di kaki Gunung Rinjani, Desa Senaru, Kecamatan Bayan, Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Rabu (27/1/2016). Sendang Gile menjadi salah satu situs geologi Gunung Rinjani yang mendukung dijadikannya Gunung Rinjani sebagai taman bumi (geopark) dunia.
“Oleh karena itulah menjadikan pariwisata sebagai sektor unggulan yang akan terus dikembangkan,” Berbagai macam bentuk promosi pariwisata pun terus dilakukan di antaranya gelar seni budaya Lombok Utara bertajuk Putri Cilinaya yang digelar di Jakarta yang diharapkan menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi masyarakat ibukota untuk berkunjung ke Lombok Utara.

Berangkat Pukul 13:30 dari Jambi Menuju Jakarta, di Jakarta transit kurang lebih 3 Jam an, sekitar Pukul 17:50 WIB berangkat lah kami Menuju Lombok Menggunakan Pesawat Garuda Indonesia. Sampai di Lombok Pukul 21:30, Kami menginap di hotel Dpraya , Hotel ini strategis, paling dekat dengan bandara, Mereka menyediakan fasilitas antar jemput bandara. kami menginap semalam disini. recomended hotel to stay .
31 Desember 2015:
Pukul 09:00 di Jemput oleh Tour guide sekaligus Driver kami, Mas Maman. Kami mengunjungi Pantai Selong Belanak. Dari perbukitan terlihat indah dan birunya Pantai ini. kami sempatkan mengambil beberapa gambar dari perbukitan. Sungguh indah sekali.
Sampailah kami di Pantai Selong Belanak. sambil menikmati nasi balap puyung khas Lombok, yang pedas namun Lezat sekali. Sekitar Pukul 13:00 kami mengunjungi sentra kerajinan tenun khas suku sasak dan membeli beberapa produk tenun khas suku sasak ini.
Sore Harinya mengunjungi Bukit Malimbu, Bukit yg indah sekali untuk menikmati Sunset.
01 Januari 2016:
Explore Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno & Gili Air menggunakan Private Boat. Kalo ke Lombok Belum lengkap rasanya kalo belum mengunjungi tempat ini. Di Tempat ini kita bisa Snorkling, Berenang, Menikmati kuliner, Mengelilingi Pulau dengan sepeda dan masih banyak lagi.
Malamnya wisata kuliner menikmati ayam Taliwang dan sate Bulayak yang lezat itu :D

Explore Gili Petelu, Pantai Pink I & II, Pantai Semangkok, Pulau Pasir. disini spot buat snorkeling lebih bagus daripada gili trawangan menurut saya. Terumbu karang yang berwarna warni, Pantainya tidak begitu ramai, serasa punya Pantai Privat hehe.
03 Januari 2016:
Wisata Budaya, Kami Mengunjungi Taman Mayura & juga mengunjungi Desa Sade, tempat suku asli Sasak Lombok. Tak lupa juga mengunjungi Tanjung Aan, Pantai Kuta, Pantai Mandalika yang indah itu.

Kami kembali ke Jambi

Traditional Sasak People || MUST DO in Lombok, Indonesia
Wow! This place was a huge surprise to us, we are SO glad we took the time to see it! The Sasak people live in 9 villages located around Lombok, and we visited the Sade village.
Our tour guide, a local man, walked us through the huts and we met many of the locals, most of who were busy at work. It's always interesting to see such a unique lifestyle-- it really gives you perspective and makes you contemplate things about your own life.
Next stop, Gili Air island!

Vlog #33 | Sheraton Senggigi in LOMBOK experience (Hotel Tour and Travel Day)
After spending a few days in Bali, we depart for Lombok by flying with Lion Air. We had some trouble with the our baggage as we were over a little in Kilos so we ended up paying the fee. Note, baggage overage has been our biggest nemesis so make sure you are on top of the luggage allowance.
The flight to Lombok was super quick and only took 30 minutes. We booked a grab from the airport to the hotel and it was very quick and easy.
Once we arrived, we were happy to find out that we were upgraded to their largest suite and for two people it was quite huge. There was 1.5 bath, king size bed, full living room, dining room, work space and a pantry / butler prep room. We took the opportunity to enjoy this large space we were given and hope that you enjoy the tour.
Check in was great. Welcome drinks were great. Staff was very nice and helpful. We can't wait to explore the grounds and share the rest with you!

*On a previous trip when I had more money, I stayed here... 100% worth the treat if you're up for it because it's got local character, awesome private beach and amazing buffet dinners*
SEKOTONG - best area to stay to visit the secret southern Gili islands. This place had a private beach and easy to get private boat tours to the islands.
MATARAM - a super cheap room in the heart of the city so it's easy to get GoJek and they have parking for cars and bikes. It's surprisingly quiet inside and the staff are very nice and helpful.
