Oregon Trails: Cemetery
By many accounts the first well known observance of a Memorial Day type observance was in Charleston, South Carolina on May 1st of 1865. On May 5th of 1868, a call was made for an annual and nationwide observance on May 30th, because it did not fall on the anniversary of any battle. In recent years, it's been on the last Monday in May, but for nearly a hundred years was May 30th.

The skeletons in Portland Metro's closet...!!!
These three people are only the tip of the iceberg! The Oregon state Mortuary and Cemetery board has covered this up 3 times already since 2008. I can not allow them to cover it up for a 4th time. If they let Metro get away with this, they will by default, change the law and make this legal in Oregon. They will have relinquished any power they have to stop other cemeteries from doing this. They will ALL start reselling occupied graves immediately. Then dumping the remains in some back corner. These people can never be returned to their final resting places. This can NOT be undone. It MUST be stopped...
