Nuneaton ( nə-NEE-tən) is a town in northern Warwickshire, England. The population in 2011 was 86,552, making it the largest town in Warwickshire.

The author George Eliot was born on a farm on the Arbury Estate just outside Nuneaton in 1819 and lived in the town for much of her early life. Her novel Scenes of Clerical Life (1858) depicts Nuneaton. There is a hospital named after her, The George Eliot Hospital. The Nuneaton built-up area, incorporating Nuneaton and the surrounding urban settlements, including the large villages of Hartshill, Galley Common and Bulkington, had a population of 92,968 at the 2011 census.

The Royal Train and Serco train in Crewe 6/9/09

Had been told there would be a serco train with a 31 on coming into the station. So within minutes of arriving asked a couple of drivers what they were waiting for in case there was something else coming. One driver said he couldnt tell me but it was important and as he said that he said its early and I looked round and realised it was the Royal train. So hence the reason I didnt get it coming in properly as I wasnt expecting it. Locos were 67006 Royal Sovereign and 67005 Queens Messenger. Not long after that left a Wrexham and Shropshire train came through with the DVT 82305 at the front and 67010 on the tail end. Then the serco train came in and I knew the driver wanted to get off pretty quick so tried to get up the platform in time for him moving off but didnt quite make it as he moved up to the signal. It had 31 105 on the rear looking like its needs a bit of TLC. This was all in the space of about 20 minutes so a productive sunday
