We drive through the entire town on Commercial Street, park near the Provincetown Inn, walk along the break wall towards Long Point Beach and then fly the drone for an overhead view of this popular resort town.

Race Point at Provincetown
The unusual events of a spit barrier beach created by littoral drift and glaciers: when the colors of the winter sky match that of the purplish sands. This is a temporal event, here one day, gone the next. The trip from Provincetown Harbor around Wood End light, past Long Point to Herring Cove and Hatches Harbor is worth the trip, if long. In April, whales feed in the race, and are highly visible. This is a good time of year: tourist season has not yet begun and there is very little boat traffic. You have the waters and shores largely to yourself. Moreover the view west, towards Duxbury and Plymouth and the contours of the South Shore.

In My Footsteps: Cape Cod - Where The Pilgrims Walked
In 1620 the Pilgrims left England heading for a new life in what would one day become the United States. Their first landing spot was not Plymouth, it was Cape Cod. For five weeks the Pilgrims explored the bayside of the Cape from Provincetown down into Eastham. There are many spots where the Pilgrims left their footsteps. These are all featured in this video including First Landing Park, Pilgrim Springs Trail, and First Encounter Beach.

Cape Cod Canal 100th fireworks!
Quickly edited and simple. Out of the many shots while 25 feet into the canal (yes in the water with $2500 worth of camera equipment) and fighting a current I managed to get a few shots. Enjoy!! ;)
The waterway is maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and has no toll fees.[2] It is spanned by the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge and two highway bridges—the Bourne and the Sagamore. Traffic lights at either end govern the approach of vessels over 65 feet (19.8 m).
