DRESDEN, OH: Firefighter, Police Chief, Santa Claus, Legend... GOOB #1
Dresden, Ohio (aka Basketville USA) is most known as home of The Longaberger Company, which makes beautiful baskets and had $1 billion in sales at its peak in 2000. What many Americans do not know, is that this small town of 1700 people is ALSO home to a really, really amazing man...
Jeff Garver (aka Goober, aka Goob) has loyally served his community as police chief, volunteer firefighter, and Santa Claus for decades. He talked to me about his love of antique firetrucks, some of his own personal inspirations, and even let me drive his crown jewel, a gorgeous '46 Dodge!
Check it out and please share with anyone who's been an inspiration and a leader in your own town. ❤️????????
