Luoyang Zoo in Wangcheng Park Luoyang, Henan on 10 4 2013
First I do not actually own the music itself. I just recorded it as they played it in Luoyang Wangcheng Park outside by the bridge that I used to enter the zoo in the park. I thought it would be more appropriate using music I recorded that day. It's some traditional, but you can always turn the volume off and put your own music on to watch. You can see the videos at these links:
Traditional Chinese music outside Luoyang Henan Zoo 10-4-2013 pt 3
Traditional Chinese music outside Luoyang Henan Zoo 10-4-2013 pt 5
This wasn't my first time to the park or zoo. I could see the changes that have occurred and it wasn't as prevalent as Shanghai, but visible if you paid attention. There was more animal friendly holding areas compared to the previous time and appeared to be more in the process of building. Now groups like PETA who euthanizes all of their animals would have a hissy fit before killing all the animals and denying children the education on how to treat animals. It is also a great way of seeing the economic growth. As the middle-class grows and gets stronger places like this expand and modernize.
The videos are free to watch. I am selling some online books and hard copy books to raise some money. Most goes to Amazon. After that 1/3 goes to me, 1/3 goes to 'One Million Words' which brings school supplies and food to orphanages, 1/3 to Florida Foster Care. The online has some information and diary page. The hard copy has that plus some pictures and language lesson to learn some basic Mandarin.
I started off outside the hotel. The day before saw a WWII Harley outside a shop and wanted to see it. It look like it ran into a van. The owner of the shop said he was doing a repair job on the van and rebuilding the bike using whatever original parts that he could find.
I caught a taxi leaving New Luoyang for old Luoyang. I would arrive outside of Wangcheng Park where there was a lot of families posing for pictures and heading into the park for an eventful day.
I would explore some of the areas after entering the park checking out the plant designs and new additions. I came across a sign and must have missed it before. An aquarium with pictures of a variety of ocean animals. One big one was of a pair of whales. This park is big, but not the building it was in wasn't that big unless they had some of it underground. Well they didn't have some animals in the pictures. It was a variety of aquatic animals from across China and the waterways.
There was some things to check outside. The mirror/magic house was interesting and so was the building filled with books to relax and read. I came up to the bridge toward the zoo and found some musicians playing. I had to record them. They were playing traditional music.
I entered the zoo. There was a lot of families wandering around as well as young couples. When crossing the bridge don't let the people on the rope flying by scare you. The main area had changes and improvements, but several of the old cages from before. I saw an area blocked off with building supplies behind the tarps. There was a lot of food to try including a candy being handmade from molten caramel when the artist making Chinese Zodiac symbols and others depending on which one you stopped by. I wanted a Dragon, but they don't keep well and would probably break before I got home.
Went out to catch a taxi back to New Luoyang where I would meet up with Qiao for dinner at her shop.
Longmen grottoes & caves in 360 / 3D view
The Longmen grottoes & caves where first carved when Emperor Xiaowen of Northern Wei, moved the capital towards the city of LuoYang, Henan Province, China. It's a UNESCO World Hertitage Site. The building of it took more than 400 years, during 5 dynasties among the Qi, Sui & Tang dynasty. In 1 kilometer beside the Yi River, there are 2345 caves & niches, more than 100.000 statues, as well as 2800 inscriptions. These caves and niches made a significant contribution towards the Chinese grotto art. Entrance fee is 100 Yuan, which is around 16 USD or 14 Euro. Certainly worth the money...

Pearl Stream
One march afternoon I toured longmen Grotto, south of Luoyang, Henan province, Peoples republic of China. During my tour I saw a neat little Stream flowing down a moss covered hill side, next to it was a delicate stream dripping and flowing through the moss, it was more beatiful than the stream. See what I mean?
