Qiqihar is the economic, cultural, scientific and commercial center of the west of Heilongjiang Province. It is a charismatic city, and also an excellent tourist city in China. It has the reputation of the capital of Chinese green food.
It is a cultural city with a history of more than 800 years. What’s more, it is one of the first old industrial bases built by the country. There is not only the first heavy machinery factory, praised by Premier Zhou Enlai as “national treasure”, and the first and second machine tool factories in Qiqihar, but also the three largest military production enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the development of China. The Green Food Expo in Qiqihar and the cultural tourism festival in Guandong city have gathered a large number of Chinese and foreign businessmen every year and have injected new vitality into the economic development. There are several natural and cultural scenic spots such as Mingyue island, Longsha Park, Wildlife Park, Navy Hot Springs, General Mansion of Heilongjiang, and the site of the Anti Japanese war in Jiangqiao. Among them, Zhalong Nature Reserve is the largest waterfowl and Bird Nature Reserve in the country and has the reputation of China's great wetland and the home of crane. Therefore, Qiqihar is also known as Hecheng(it means the city of crane).

紮龍自然保護區仍保持著原始狀態，故而成為水禽的天堂，聞名中外的世界珍禽丹頂鶴就在這裡休養生息。因此齊齊哈爾被譽為鶴鄉之城 (觀鳥的最佳季節是五月至七月份。 關於扎龍自然保護區流傳之一個真實故事：故事中的主角徐秀娟，1964年10月出生於黑龍江省齊齊哈爾市一個滿族漁民家庭，她從小就跟隨經驗豐富的養鶴專家父親徐鐵林幫著餵小鶴，潛移默化中也愛上了丹頂鶴。 1987年 9月16日，為了尋找飛失的白天鵝，因疲勞過度，不幸落水遇難，時年不滿23歲，後被封為馴鶴烈士。
紮龍‧放飛區每天只有4場放飛(flying)，其中早上11:00有1場，遠處傳來吵雜的聲音就表示丹頂鶴來了……與您共享！！！
海拉爾‧北山遺址為日軍侵華要塞，已更名為世界反法西斯戰爭海拉爾紀念館，是日本關東軍修築的內陸防禦軍事工事也是日軍的作戰指揮中心。(可惜小咬如影隨形無法久留！)。
海拉爾‧西山國家森林公園是中國唯一以樟子松為主體的國家級森林公園，早在清代就被列入呼倫貝爾八景之一（沙埠古松），可惜小咬依舊如影隨形.........恐怖哦。
