The spectacular Nantien Temple in Taoyuan has wrapped up four years of renovation that have repaired leaks and freshened up its exterior. The 47-year-old temple has gotten a modern update to the decor at the top of its roof. The roof is populated with whimsical sculptures that tell stories of Taiwanese life. It pays homage to pastimes from baseball to street demonstrations. It also features icons like Taipei 101. A fisherman drags a net as tilapia burst from the water. Turn your head and it’s a dragon boat race – the coxswain urges the rowers forward in cadence. 龍潭湖又名龍潭觀光大池，是桃園龍潭最著名的地標，原本設計為灌溉功能的池塘，因湖中小島居民們興建了氣宇非凡的「南天宮」，讓整體景觀變得十分優雅，加上龍潭觀光吊橋的襯托，成為吸引遊客的重要遊憩區。
