Polop situado en el secano territorio de Alicante, donde la Naturaleza ha hecho una hermosa excepción en esta ciudad que fue denominada como el Oasis de la Costa Blanca, por estar dotada de una gran fuente que mana sin descanso por 221 chorros de agua de la más pura calidad. Pudieran haber sido más, la distribución por razones de espacio decidieron tal numero.

Polop is a small but vibrant village located on a hill, surrounding its castle, in the northeast of the province of Alicante on Spain’s Costa Blanca. The territory of this barony, located in the Marina district, extends from the Guadalest and Algar rivers to the Villajoyosa, and includes the beaches of Benidorm.
Polop’s origins date back to the culture Iberian, as evidenced by the remains found in the territory. Throughout its history, Polop was highlighted by the strategic position as a military enclave through the castle crowning the hill.

Bonito pueblo a 25 km de Benidorm situado encima de un cerro rodeando a un castillo en plena cima. El rio Guadalest hace su divisoria con Callosa d'En Sarriá.

Los restos de un viejo castillo musulmán rodeado por rutas y senderos de indudable atractivo, añaden encanto a esta singular localidad situada en un terreno montañoso. La serie titulada “Alicante pueblo a pueblo/Alacant poble a poble”, producida por el Área de Imagen y Promoción de la Diputación de Alicante, tiene el objetivo de dar a conocer cada una de las localidades alicantinas de una forma atractiva e intimista, reflejando sus peculiaridades paisajísticas, históricas, culturales y urbanísticas.

El Ponoch Via Ferrata - Polop, Spain
Today we climbed the El Ponoch Via Ferrata!
This incredible climb is roughly 1000 feet, bottom to top and has 3 abseils varying in length.
The Via ferrata itself is 230m and then you have a grade 5 scramble to the top of the Ponoch.
Your first abseil is 70m long, followed by a 25m and a 30m abseil back to the exit point.
This is such an unreal climb and has a really amazing view. A great adventure if you're in the Costa Blancas!

Please Note the absence of cars, street parking, graffiti, garbage, and the abundence of trees, plants and flowers at every turn,the neatly painted houses, all bathed with a boquet of wall to wall sunshine, what better place to leave your worries behind, and live a long loving blissful life, in La Nucia one is already half way to heaven.In La Nucia you can., Please note should you be the Alcalde of La Nucia, that I did find it practically impossible to take photos ,/images with out encountering over head electrical cables , in mass everywhere , maybe you shpould look for ways of making the village more photographically photogenic removing cables from as many streets as possible, (hiding them)would be a good next move that is my only criticsism
