Loup of Fintry (2) (Endrick Falls)
A better quality update of the video I put on a couple of years ago.
The Endrick Water tumbles over waterfalls known as the Loup of Fintry.
Endrick Water rises in the nearby Gargunnock hills, meandering 30 miles through the Strathendrick valley to Loch Lomond.
A bit of slo-mo at the end!
Culcreuch Castle, Fintry, Stirling
Culcreuch Castle is a fine imposing former fortalice located in an impressive setting in the Campsie Fells near Stirling in Central Scotland. A must is having dinner in the Dungeon Restaurant.
The estate is an amazing place, well worth a visit

Waterfall Photography Vlog - Loup of Fintry
In this vlog I head out to capture some images of a stunning waterfall known as the Loup of Fintry, which is on the River Endrick, just two miles from the village of Fintry and over 20 miles from Glasgow.
So, in the vlog I use my ND filters to capture some long exposure images of the waterfall and I do some comparison shots between a 3 stop and 10 stop ND filter, with the 3-stop providing a shorter exposure and less smooth water against the 10-stop for which the long exposure produces an image with a creamier looking water. Plus, I shot one image with no filters at all to show the difference.
There were a couple of unfortunate things that day however, starting with me forgetting my selfie stick to do pieces to camera (so I used my tripod instead as you see for this). And later on, after I finished and was heading back, I had a puncture in one of the wheels in my car just less than a mile down the road from LOF. Fortunately, however I made it to the village of Fintry and a couple very kindly helped me to change the tyre and put on the spare tyre, which got me home. I didn’t catch their names but I would like to wish them big thanks for their help on the off-chance they might watch this!
Anyway, so I hope you enjoy the video and feel free to also check out my Twitter and Instagram links that can be found on my Youtube page.

Flying the Mavic over Scottish waterfalls!
This one's quite a short video. It was a surprise trip out for Michele and I when we went to visit Paul. Paul's friend Barry came along, too, and they led us to an absolutely gorgeous waterfall location.
The Loup of Fintry sits on the River Endrick a couple of miles to the east of Fintry and 17 miles from Stirling. The total height of the falls is about 100ft, across several levels.
Around it is mostly open ground except for a line of trees a couple of hundred feet behind the top of it. So, it should get light form sunrise until sunset. We spent a couple of hours here checking out the waterfalls and just hanging out.
During our time there, a small family came wandering by. So, naturally, Paul intercepted them and asked if he could shoot their portrait. He seems to do that quite often.
Next time I make it back to Scotland, if the weather's this good again, I'll be doing a shoot here, and we'll be camping out overnight so we can get a super early morning back lit sparkly waterfall.
Barry brought his Mavic along with him, so I actually managed to get some decent drone footage for this video. Be sure to check out his channel linked below to see more of his work. Many thanks for letting me include it, Barry!
