The main length of Love River is about 12 kilometers.
It flows through six districts of Kaohsiung, Zuoying, Sanmin, Gushan, Yancheng, Qianjin and Yuya, which are about 10.5 kilometers.
The locals are also known as the Kaohsiung Canal, means the life of Kaohsiung.

For our Day 3 in Kaohsiung Taiwan. We went to the Love River located at No. 188-1, Hedong Road, Qianjin District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 801 and rode the Love River boat. The tour is about 20 minutes for 150 NTD. It's best to come between 5 pm- 6pm so that you'll see the great architecture view. The day view is better than the night as there are areas who needs more lighting. There is only Mandarin tour guide, no English information/narration available. You can also use bike or walk around the river park.

DECEMBER 22, 2016—We are on Day 2 of our 5-day Best of Taiwan family tour. Our end destination for the day is the southwestern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung. Kaohsiung is Taiwan's 2nd largest city and is a major industrial and maritime hub. It is also the home of the famous Ai River, more popularly known as the Love River.
Ai River is Kaohsiung's spine. It is to Kaohsiung as Thames is to London.
Our guide told us about a true story behind its Love River name but I somehow forgot the details. I just recall that it is a somewhat sad and tragic story, involving a suicide. I'll update this description if and when I somehow come across the story in the future.
Anyway, we boarded a fully solar-powered tourist boat immediately upon our arrival in Kaohsiung for a late afternoon, sunset cruise on the Love River. It was an leisurely, idyllic cruise. Slow, easy, and very pleasant. Although running across the middle of an industrial city, Ai River is very clean and does not smell. Aside from the very environment-friendly solar-powered tourist boats, there are also several sailboats and Venice-style gondolas.
The sunset over the river, backdropped by the skyscrapers of Kaohsiung, is gorgeous, too.

此外，乾淨漂亮的，可以在河邊拍照。美麗的場景，有很多東西可以買，很多吃的東西。
Love River is located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, with a total length of 16.4 kilometers. It originated from Renwu Township, Kaohsiung.
Love River now has a romantic riverside scenery.
In order to provide the public with a quality recreational place, the Kaohsiung City Government has turned the downstream river bank into a riverside park. The annual major festivals or events, especially the Dragon Boat Festival celebrations, will be held here.
There are also many stops along the river, for the public to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the river by taking the Love Boat.
We met the inauguration ceremony of Kaohsiung City mayor Han Kuo-yu here. Full of people.
But during the normal period, you can find very good scenery here with many benches, bridges, the wind blows nicely.
Good place to jog or run or cycling.
Not noisy, great place for relax.
Also, clean and nice place to take a photo beside a river. Beautiful scenes and more stuff. Lots of things ot buy and a lot of stuff to eat.
